  1. How about putting wheels on just two of the legs and mounting them so that they only slightly touch the floor? When moving is necessary you'd just lift one end and roll it around.
  2. He was a great guy and a very good friend. Actually, if you go back far enough we are all related.
  3. We used to have a great guy living in Arvada. Unfortunately we lost him last year. He was known here as Rockytime and his posts live on.
  4. Hi Joe and welcome. I am wondering about your pattern. It might help to see what it is you are going to cut. In most cases you just try to follow a line as closely as possible so I would think that if you can wrap the wood with some packing tape and then glue the pattern to that surface it would hold well enough to do the cutting. Now, if it's a very intricate pattern, it might be a problem but that's how I would attack it.
  5. I have it on my phone and pc and it tells me when something isn't correct and it's up to me to make the change.
  6. I can envision what you are saying. The leaded lines, being thicker, once cut out would act as a frame for all the colored pieces that would be fit into it. Neat idea.
  7. I would be a bit leery of putting them in an insolated box or container because of heat build-up. But, worth a try I guess. I was lucky enough to find one of the "old" style Fein vacs for sale on Craigslist in almost new condition. It had the HEPA filter in it. Very quiet and has the "on demand" outlet so it only runs when the saw is cutting. Then a few seconds afterwards it shuts down.
  8. I've had excellent response from Advanced Machinery (Hegner) and also when contacting Wen customer service.
  9. Beautiful work. You go the extra mile with finishing. I build something and it immediately goes into service with the idea of "I'll finish it later". And that never happens.
  10. I wish my wife had some interest other than cleaning house and wanting me to go for walks with her.
  11. My shop is where I get away from my wife. Why would I ever want to change that?
  12. Congrats on your lucky buy. As Paul said, please let us know how it goes and what you are making. Remember though that we don't believe anything without pics.
  13. Great ideas that I never take the time to make. I will now that you have lit the fire.
  14. Paul, what are you using for the black hose? It looks like a better hose that what I have been seeing on others setups.
  15. I must admit to not knowing what "finger cots" are. I am more like Paul. The less I have to worry about the better. A cap, dust mask, and that's it.
  16. From what I recall on my 226 Ultra, if there are a couple of small holes (about 1/8") in the upper are on the right hand side, that is where you mount the square clamp for loading blades and tightening the set screws. If those holes aren't there I'd think it means round clamps.
  17. Well, I hope, for everybody's sake, that this one proves to be an improvement over your first one. I have touted Wen products and their service so it makes me sad to hear that you had a problem so soon after buying your saw. I hope it was just and anomaly. But, please do keep all of us updated so we can feel safe when buying their products.
  18. I honestly don't think it has anything to do with the cell phones. Unless Apple does something "Apple". That's why I don't use any Apple products. A whole different can of worms. I bought my wife an iPad 10 years ago. She is not a techy at all. She never even tried to use it. I have it plugged in to my PC just to keep it charged. I've never found a use for it either. I know there are folks who live by their iPads but not me. PC, laptop and phone are as far as I go. Now, with all the AI popping up, I'm afraid that we have reached a point where once the machines start talking to each other, the human race is doomed.
  19. Have you checked the pattern catalog at Steve Good's site?
  20. It looks like a fairly late 220VS. Ultra? Not a bad looking saw. How much?
  21. Maybe too powerful?
  22. Congrats! I'm happy for you. I look forward to your ongoing reports. If you are having trouble with the magnifier try mounting it to something not connected to the saw.
