  1. I use a #5 mgt Pegas on almost everything I do.
  2. You are being way too hard on yourself. Your work is great and will just get better. The material you use can make a big difference. Also Steve Good has a very good video regarding how to cut square corners.
  3. Looks good to me. Sharp corners are tough.
  4. Paul, you are the best.
  5. I recently bought a H/F Banks 23 gauge pin nailer. I haven't used it yet but this might be something that I will use it for. I think mine will shoot down to 1/2" nails/pins. I'll have to check. Thanks for a great idea. I'm wondering if 100 psi isn't too much though. I think I'll try it at around 60 first.
  6. You better patent it, copyright it or trademark it. Just sayin......
  7. Is that your design did you see it online? Just askin'. Lol.
  8. If I make a picture frame, am I infringing on someone's patent, copyright or trademark? Unless I'm Adam, it appears that nothing is safe or original anymore. Even digging a hole in the ground to crawl into seems to be stepping on somebody's toes.
  9. I looked for a class to take. I have also done a lot of reading on the Inkscape website. There is also a pretty good Facebook group that answers quickly. I tried the Youtube videos but they were either done by folks with strong accents or lousy cameras/mikes or they went so fast I couldn't follow. I've gotten help here from the Villagers & Travis too. I'd love to sit in a classroom setting and be able to ask questions. Trying to follow from a book is difficult. I spent $50 on a Gimp book and didn't get far. That's a really tough program. Just stting up the screen and workspace was too much for me. Good luck. Don't give up. Ask lots of questions.
  10. Very nice! How many of them are you allowed to make from that one pattern? Just curious after reading the "copyright" thread.
  11. Chris, I've spent he better part of 5 years and it's just now starting to come to me. I am able to manipulate some things and create some things but I'd starve to death if my livelihood depended on it. Keep at it and it will happen.
  12. Heal quickly Ralph. Therapy done correctly and diligently will speed the process and the pain/discomfort goes away.
  13. I've been reading this whole thread and came away totally confused. I regard every pattern that I have, whether a free one or a paid-for one" the exact same way. Once I have it, it's mine to use for whatever I want as long as I don't "re-sell" it. I make things from these patterns and if I sell my work and give credit to the pattern maker, I figure I've done my due diligence. If someone wants to sue me, good luck. I have nothing much.
  14. I used my H/F light while wearing my progressive lens glasses. I had double cataract surgery a few years back that left me with great distance vision but I missed wearing glasses and hated having to carry "readers" so I had glasses made that have no correction on the top and progress down to up close for reading. That's what I use to cut with looking through the magnifier. For me, it's a "no-brainer".
  15. Yeah, after looking at the ad for your light, I realized it was a floor lamp. Not good as I swing mine out of the way after every cut and am able to focus it where I need in on the flex arm.
  16. Paul, I have a H/F light and it has a glass lens. I also upgraded the bulb to an LED. It works fine. I also have a light that Rockytime put me onto way back from an eBay vendor for $25. It is my favorite. It came with an LED bulb and a great lens. I'd buy another one if I could ever find one like it for the same price.
  17. And even then you can't be sure. We all know you can't trust lawyers or used car salesmen.
  18. All-around good day. Happy that her procedure went well. I'll have to run by our Hobby Lobby tomorrow and see if they have the same deal.
  19. Check with Denny Knappen. I know he sells them in all popular sizes.
  20. I agree wholeheartedly. I have an air cleaner going all the time, I use a respirator mask with the proper filters on it and I have dust control on all of my saws. When I work out on my driveway, I have a 16 gallon shop vac with a dustopper that I hook to my table saw and router. I try very hard to keep the dust under contol and to keep it out of my lungs. My hearing is pretty well shot so I don't wear any hearing protection. Probably should have years ago but the days of the drag strip and Art Arfons' jet dragster pretty much took care of my hearing. Oh well, I can get along without that but I have to breathe.
  21. It's weird but now, at 79, I look at many things I'd love to have but then I step back and ask myself just how much use I'd get with the few years I have left. I look for deals on used equipment and if I find something at a price that fits my age I'll buy it.
  22. If my wife tells me that she has to pick out a few birthday cards when we go shopping, I stay home. I've spent too much time leaning on the shopping cart waiting for her to do that. Not any more.
  23. Not sure what the "internal timer" is about. Is that what tells it to run for 15 seconds? I have mine running through a dust deputy too but after I built the on-board systems I stopped using the Fein for that purpose. I use it now just for general shop cleanup.
  24. He wants to be able to fold the table up. Not sure why that's so important.
  25. Were you using a cyclone if any type?
