  1. Berta you know I have super powers.
  2. That pattern was in one of the scroll saw magazines. Scroll Saw Wood Craft issue 34 spring 2009.
  3. While everyone will have an opinion on this reverse tooth blades are not designed for compound cutting. To cut best you want a blade that removes as much sawdust as possible. That is a skip tooth design like the FD Polar. The reverse tooth design pushes sawdust back in the cut on the up cut.
  4. What kind of saw do you have?
  5. I agree that D&D needs to beef up their website but I find their prices and services too notch. When I order must any blades I always get a mix and match gross. Cheaper in the long run.
  6. I have seen several sites that sell two of the brand's you mentioned. I might have missed it But I have never seen where they allowed you to mix brands for gross pricing. I use D and D for my Pegas and Mike's for my Flying Dutchman. Even with shipping they are way cheaper then getting them through a brick and mortar store like Woodcraft.
  7. I could not find it on their website. By chance do you have a link to the plans?
  8. Great news. Just don't over do it.
  9. Saw one of these and would like to make it. I don't want to just copy especially if the pattern designer sells the pattern. I also like to give credit where credit is due. I do know it is not a Steve Good design.
  10. All saw dust is bad for us. MDF is some of the worst because of the chemicals used to make it. It is only evil in that perspective.
  11. The problem with Delta is the lack of repair support and spare parts. It is only a shell of a company that it used to be.
  12. Congrats John.
  13. I use a form roller.
  14. There is one trick for shop heating I have learned over the years. It is better to keep close to a constant temp. In other words don't try to warm a 40 degree shop to 70. Steel and cast iron retains temperature for a long time and if you attempt to warm the air quickly you create condensation which leads to rust.
  15. Mine is 22' x 30'. Walls and ceiling are insulated. A window A/C unit keeps it comfortable during a long NC summer and a 220v electric garbage heater mounted on the ceiling keeps it comfortable in the winter.
  16. Send Travis a note.
  17. No problems here. Hopefully Travis will reply but just in case send him a PM.
  18. One EX-21 I used daily. One older Hegner Muilt-Max use once and a while. One Hawk VS226 only use on big projects. 1.5 Dewalts collecting dust. To explain the last I have a Type 2 on it's last legs and a Type 1 I had used over the years to keep the Type 2 working (motor shorted out on the Type 1). I have multiple saw because I do sell some and I can't afford to be without. For the record the Dewalt Type 2 and the EX-21 were purchased new. The others were purchased used.
  19. Hope that is your issue because a new motor will cost almost as much as a new saw and I think a new motor only carries a 30 day guarantee.
  20. I would be worried about the mess. Especially in an inside venue.
  21. https://intarsia.com/collections/books/products/odog-breedso-scroll-saw-book
  22. They sold pretty well. Worth noting. I only sold the colorized ones. None of the plain ones sold.
  23. I only do two events a year. My best one is the one I went to yesterday. Sales set another record. Up 8% from last year. Here are some pictures.
