  1. Cut is from 1/2" Red Oak. The original design calls for 14" x 8" but I had a nice 24" board I wanted to use and being cheap, decided to reduce the pattern to get two. Not the smartest move I have ever made. The fine print letters would be hard enough at full size. The smaller size made that worse. LOL
  2. I have the 16" Excalibur and its all I need.
  3. Had a friend request a couple of verses. After some back and forth, I decided it would be best to make it a two piece project. Cut from 1/2" Red Oak. The top one is 8 X 14 inches and the lower one is 5 x 14. My design using Inkscape.
  4. Thanks, that will work. I want always support our pattern makes, so that's why I asked. Thanks again.
  5. The letters are Greek. Its someone's take on the "Jesus/Fish" idea. Anybody seen this pattern?
  6. The insert pretty nice too. It one I got from you.
  7. Pattern by Larry Hamm. I think its in the pattern library here. I have not seen his name here for as long as I can remember (not that that means anything) Anyone have any info on Larry? Still a member here?
  8. That is a steal!! Front tension release and the Quick Clamp. Nice find!
  9. This one took me awhile. 1/2" thick Red Oak on 1/4" BB backer. Rather then using "rails" like the plans, I when with a full sized backer board. Cut with #3 Pegas MGT blades. I usually get my R.O. from the local big box store (Menards), but I have not been pleased with the quality lately. Uneven coloring and excessive warping, etc. Problems I never have when I buy from Ocooch Hardwoods so I will be ordering a lot more from them this year.
  10. Not looking for a new saw - happy with my EX-16. But...........There is an EX-30 in my area for $400. It's from General International, and judging by its age, a Taiwan made machine. The family is selling it after the father died. Question: Is there any significant vibration, etc. in a saw that big? Any opinions for buy or pass? Any other thoughts?
  11. I have been doing patterns from Sheila Landry/Keith Fenton for a while and have always really liked them. I recently had a customer want a project based on one of their designs with some of the words changed. Now I can muddle through Inkscape well enough to make the change but not to a point where I am happy with it. I reached out to Keith and he quoted a price (less than I expected) and was able to send me the revised pattern the same day. Great customer service, great patterns. Thank you, Keith!
  12. 3/4" Red Oak, cut with Pegas MGT # 3 blades.
  13. Thanks. Pegas MGT #3 blades - from ArtCraftersonline!
  14. First one I finished in a while. Red Oak 1/2" with a full size backer of 1/4" BB.
  15. I have been using a small (6"?) Wen drill press for 6 or 7 years with no problem. does what I need and handles the smallest bits that I use with out any problem.
  16. Its about 14" long and 4+ wide. Jim
  17. 1/2" thick red oak. Cut the lettering with Pegas MGT #3 and the deer with FD spirals.
  18. I have an old camera and even with a "bench top photo booth" from Amazon the background comes out kinda light blue (hey I'm a guy - what do I know about colors. LOL) Anyway, I use an online program called FotoFuze. I just use their free version. Etsy recommends it to sellers for editing their product pictures. There is a paid version with more features, but I am too cheap for that. PS - it may be free only to Etsy sellers.
  19. More Red Oak. 14" x 8" by 5/8" thick. Cut with Pegas blades I get from Denny.
  20. Very nice!
  21. This one is a full 8 inches high and 14 inches wide. 3/4 Red Oak planed down to about 5/8" thick. Cut with #3 and #5 Pegas MGT bladed.
  22. I hate painting (and paint) but I can see that you could sell a lot more of the painted version.
  23. Red Oak planed down to 5/8" thick. Its about 10" x 8".
  24. I ordered a bunch of 12 x 24 1/8" BB from Ocooch last week for $3.35 per. They still have stock which means I left some for the rest of you.
  25. Correct, it is Red Oak. When I started scrolling a few years back, it seemed like a good choice since the big box stores all carried it. I decided I liked how it looks and now I use it for everything except Intarsia
