Just finished this for my wife. I am still learning, but after seeing these pix, I guess I need to learn photography too. LOL This is 1/2" walnut with semi-gloss poly over tung oil. Jim

Still new at this, so I am looking for advise. I have been doing OK with most of my work, so I thought I would dive in and try some word art using spiral blades for a Christmas gift. This is cut from 1/4" BB ply and its about 15" long and about 4" high. Just finished cutting it today. I would appreciate advise on: Finishing. BLO, Tung oil, etc. Framing it on the cheap. I know I can take it to a frame shop for $$$. Jim

I agree with Scrappile. Here in Wisconsin, Menards has Birch but not Baltic Birch that is not too bad. Fleet & Farm has some that I will never buy again - not good! I just got my first batch from Ocooch Hardwoods - they sell on line. Really nice!
