  1. Very nice! I really like to look of it!
  2. I look at pattern makers as artists. The really good ones (Steve Good, Sheila Landry, and Sue May, etc ) are so well done I can't match theirs. Craftsman use other peoples patterns which is just fine. It's where we all started and if I stay in that place, I am more than OK. Jim
  3. Table saws always scare me. We have a Doctor in town who was a surgeon and did wood working. Took of all four fingers on his right hand on a table saw. He is not a surgeon anymore, just a general family doctor. Hope you feel better Ducky. As they say on TV - let's be careful out there!
  4. Stack cut two 1/4" Oak ply. My wife claimed one and a friend at work bought the order. Cut with FD-UR3 blades. Background is 1/4" BB ply. Used the washer trick to mark the outline of the background.
  5. Well done Kevin. Love that pattern, but it does take time to cut.
  6. That eagle pattern is a winner! Good save too! Jim
  7. Kevin. Not suprised by that. This is a really good pattern! Tough, but still one of my favorites.
  8. I tried making my frames, and that is NOT something I can do well enough. Now I buy them on sale at Hobby Lobby. The Goodwill stores are a great place to find them too. Jim
  9. Made this as a request from a co-worker. They have a cabin up north and often see bears up there. Cut from Oak. Jim
  10. Looks good Kevin! No way I can do that on a couple of hours. Jim
  11. Kevin, 200 of anything would take me 2-3 months. But then I'm old and slow!
  12. this is a Steve Good pattern. 1/2" oak with a base 1" thick.
  13. I like to have about three different things going at one time. Maybe it a result of short attention span. Jim
  14. My shop is in my basement. Too cold in Wisconsin winters for the garage. I have tried using #77 spray adhesive for attaching patterns and need a different product - too many family members with allergies and asthma. All the other things I use (BLO, Mineral Spirits, etc) don't seem to be a problem. It seems to be that product. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Jim
  15. Bill, Might want to check Craigslist. I am not seeing it. I bought a type 1 last year for $325 but it did not have a foot switch and it was pretty rough - a lot of rust etc. good saw, someone will be happy. Jim
  16. "my screw up for the day" ?? I get way more then just one! Jim
  17. These are gifts for friend. 1/4" oak stack cut. Patterns by SullyScroller. The bottom one has a backing of 1/4" BB ply painted black. Being the lazy guy that I am, I found a 1/2" walnut piece to use as a backer for the top one - no painting needed! Jim
  18. Welcome to the village from another Wisconsinite! Jim
  19. Hey Kevin. The post time for this thread is 4:41 AM. Don't you ever sleep? Jim
  20. I use 1/4 or 1/2 inch thick oak. I sell them for $35 and I am busier than I want to be.
  21. Well done Kevin. You sure do get a lot of projects completed and they always look great. Jim
