  1. Hello--- From Portland, OR Area. Welcome to the scrollsaw asylum. Many very fine woodworkers and some SOME very good advice too. You might be a lot better off and save money, by buying a "new" cheaper saw. Or a good used one from a private party! AVOID JUNK(PAWN) shops. I have never seen good tools pawned. OR if you can get an exact pattern, having someone make it for you.
  2. Very nice!
  3. Still a nice idea and work.
  4. Great prayer and very nice work! We all get too soon old, and way to late smart!
  5. Extremely well done! I know how much work that is!

    Nativity set

A Big "Thank You" to everyone! I do have a question; as I will be making a group of these, due to the positive reviews, how much should I price them at? My total cost will be under $2 each. I think about $10; too high?? The craft fair is at a local church. I donate one (about $25) item and give them 10% of my sales gross, they furnish table and a few other things. I will also assist the advertising, flyer up etc. The area is not in a depression; but, not really great economics either! Seems to have a larger #'s of low and high income families than an average place! Nike, Columbia Clothing , Leopold, Intel, and many other high $ companies are based from this area.
  7. Made from new cloth, paint and I even bought new GLUE! Modified internet pattern and the rest was just the normal rjR insanity, at work.
  8. Well a big Hello! I used to live just north of you``` West Fargo, ND. I have scrolled since 1953; hopefully sometime in the future, I get good at it! This is a fun;-- and helpful site! All kinds of patterns, advice (SOME even good) tips., tricks, and a "bad -time" thrown along in! Rockler has a wondrous light; that helps-- nice magnifying glass and LED lights-- stays very cool and really makes it easier to see things. I paid $70 for it and it is worth the money! I mounted it to the bench; and can swing it to the saw and out of the way!
  9. NICE! A lot of work nicely done.
  10. Excellent work. The frames should be very simple; Just enough to show as a frame-- maybe 1/2 or less each way with a torched effect-- propane torch--- just here and there no pattern, then a simple semi-gloss over it. That will hold the effect.
  11. I know you never leave the shop! Much finer detail than what I have the patience for! Nice work A.K.!
