Having made many (Not as many as A.K.) name plates I know how much work they are and how easy it is to screw up! Great wood- Great job- Great Design too.

I have an expensive Jet 6 by 48 and have abused it for about 5 years now; works great. It also has a side flat round sander of 9" diameter. It was an in-store display model for $400. Had some scratches etc. The Ridgid suggested sure looks good to me; but check on belt availability! I do like the conversion of it and the warranty are both excellent features!

I do like the using of a live edge cut for the mount! Very nice project!

A big welcome to the society of cold coffee with sawdust in it! We also have many other very unique and disgusting habits. It is a great group and some always has a good answer to questions and even other things too! We do like to see pictures and REMEMBER that when you please the person in the mirror with a hobby; NO one else has anything to say!

Made from some shop scrap 1 by 8 and a few odds & ends. New hinge material. Working on a design to use stock dimensions of material as much as possible. The handle supporting pieces are the hole saw cut-outs from toy vehicles. I do like the burned look.--Just used a water based wipe on finish to stop the spread of soot! For some reason even after I rotated it the one picture seems to only like sideways! Sorry about that.

Very playable and still artistic. Very good work! Making toys also gives you an excuse to play with them! RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT Procedures are important in any manufacturing industry!

A clear tape on both sidles where the cut line is will eliminate 90+% of the chipping. Also finer tooth blades chip less. I also do use candle wax on my blades as a lube which also helps, but, for some purposes can cause more sanding for finishing

You are joining an international group of oddballs, misfits and who knows what else is deviant about us! A Happy aboard and enjoy the ride! Some of us have been making sawdust quite a while! Occasionally we even get something decent from it! I enjoy making the strange and unusual and even a few more common things too. I happily share any of my own designed " sort -of-patterns"

I have seen some of these on woodworking sites and decided to give it a try. Made from pine shop scraps and a piece of scrap piano hinge. The Plug thing is an unknown hardwood though. Turned from the ever popular "firewood" pile! The spacing of the holes are going to change with the next one I make. Lots of trial and error. Seems to be a serviceable unit now. Was raining when I was taking pictures; so they were taken inside. The bottle is a 22 oz beer, not wine bottle. Size seems very similar!
