  5. Truely an ellegent box!
  6. I also like the one on the right.
  7. I use FD UR 3 blades all the time without your problem. Do you have enough tension on the saw? I apply as much tension as possible. I'm sure you know the crimp on one end of the blade is the top.
  8. Cool plaque Dave!
  9. Great looking project!
  10. Have a happy Christmas and a merry New Year!
  11. Looks good Jim!
  12. The wood does need to be at least 3/4" in order to standup easily. I usually use 7/8". I would not use less than 3/4".
  13. That's some nice work Peter!
  14. Great work Brad!
  15. Looks great!
  16. Same to you Ron! Love your Pet!
  17. It sure was! I actually made it several years ago, and gets set up for the Holliday season. It has a Westminster chime that rings out the hour. I installed a switch to kill the chime at night, but it sounds so good, I never turn it off! There are Santas elves swinging on the pendulum and peering out some of the Windows, and Santa too!If you look behind Mrs Santa's shoulder in the portrait, you will see this same clock hanging!
  18. I doubt that Brian. I'm sure that if Woodcraft had a branded saw, Seyco wouldn't sell it.
  19. I don't cut the Woodimal puzzles, but t do cut a lot of standup puzzles. I always use hard woods like Cherry, Maple and Red Oak. Why? Because the harder, the less likely to break. Poplar and Alder are hardwoods but are softer than others, so I don't use them.
  20. Nice work Don!
  21. Great work Don, they should be well received!
  22. Excellent work Steve! Your neighbor is going to love them!
  23. Al, yes, the fine details require the 2/0 size blade. But that's ME. I'm sure it could be done with larger blades, like maybe a #1, but I would prefer the smaller blade.Someone mention that the smaller blades require less tension, not true! I use as high a tension as I do with larger blades, and I rarely break blades!
  24. The framed portrait is from an issue of Creative Woodworks and Crafts, now Defuncked. It's by Dirk Boleman and should be available at The Art Factory.
  25. Here's a couple Al. Santa's Workshop by the late great Dirk Boleman. Pictures aren't that great as I just took them with my phone. The other is a clock by Dirk called Santa's Workshop Clock. If you look over Mrs. Clause shoulder, you will see the same clock! Naturally, I used larger blades for the larger cuts, but used Olson 2/0 reverse tooth blades for the fine details.
