  1. They both look very nice Todd, nice cutting!
  2. Like Katie said, puzzle blades are designed for jigsaw puzzles usually in 1/4" or thinner. Puzzle blades are a number 3/0, you would never use a 3/0 for 3/4" hardwoods.
  3. Amazing work Hans! What's your blade of choice?
  4. Nice work Less! Looks like Mahogany. I cut Steve Good's version. Always have one on hand and always sell it.
  5. Great job Todd! Oh darn, pushed the button twice!
  6. Great job Todd!
  7. I do use packing. I apply it on top of the pattern. It does lubricate the blade and helps eliminate burning and produces a smoother cut finish. If I'm cutting a thick, hard wood, I will even apply it to the bottom of the wood, with a blank sheet of paper between the board and tape. It really does work for me! Some complain about glare from over head lights. I don't have that problem as I use a magnifier with a florecent bulb. Others complain that it's hard to remove the pattern and tape. It's easy to remove with a heat gun, or a spritz of mineral spirits in a spray bottle. I'm not trying to change anybody's mind about what to use, just explaining what works for me!

    Nice work TerryLee!
  9. Great looking puzzle Scott!
  10. Well done Casey, nice pattern and cutting!
  11. It looks grea Matt! The probable reason it's upside down is you took it upside down. So how do you know which way is up? On iPads and iPhones, the shutter button is on the right. If you take a picture with the button in any other position, the SSV software will orient the picture the way it was taken, even if you edit it in your device.
  12. That's an amazing cut Randy, beautiful piece!
  13. Well, it sure looks like Alder.
  14. Isn't it amazing what a little cleaning will do? Right now my shop is so bad it's dangerous!

    Very nice plaque Dan!
  16. Interesting pattern Marg, nice cutting!
  17. I work with a lot of Alder and find it easy to work with. In fact I find it softer than poplar. The only problem I have with Alder is, because it is soft, the cut edges need a lot of sanding. You didn't say what blade you used. I would use an FD Ultra Reverse #5 or #7 for 3/4" Alder.
  18. Nice work Barb!
  19. Nice one!
