Hey Rolf, I will probably price them at $35-$40, haven't decided yet.I did not change anything on the pattern. The wood behind the star is just part of the backer board of the overlay. Thanks for your comments, I feel honored!

Thanks Russell. I have had your pattern on my to do list for a while. I did have a hard time cutting as there are no solid lines to follow. My tired eyes have a hard time with that.As far as a turn out, this is an annual Christmas Botique at a local church that is in its 35th year. The whole town turns out! As far as weather, it is indoors. Thanks again for the pattern!

I have a two day show next weekend. Got these finished today. The peace Nativity is from a pattern by our very own Birchbark. Cut from 1/2" Cherry. Used FD UR 1&3. The other is called 3-D Nativity Scene from a pattern by Sue Mey in the current issue of Scrowsaw Woodwoorking & Crafts. The overlay is 1/4" Poplar with an 1/8" backer of Mahogany. The stable is 7/8" Mahogany. I used Olson Skiptooth # 2/0 and FD UR 1 for the overlays and FD UR 7 for the stable. All soaked in 50/50 boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits. Then when dry, a topcoat of Deft semi gloss spray lacquer.

The DeWalt saw is considered a contractor saw, not a production saw. However it should last longer than yours did. My first DeWalt lasted about ten years with only having to replace blade clamps and thumb screws. I'm on my second DeWalt saw and I have a backup just in case my primary saw breaks down. When it was time to replace my first DeWalt saw, I also considered the EX 21. I didn't like the smaller table on the EX and I didn't like the coating on the table either. And since I was used to cutting on the DeWalt, I bought the DeWalt knowing its limitations and shortcomings. I have never used a Hawk. I would never consider buying a saw without being able to try it out. The new Jet saw is not top feed friendly so that one is out. So when it's time for a new saw, I will probably go with another DeWalt saw.

The smaller the bit the faster the speed needed. For the wire size bits and up 1/8" I use the fastest my drill press will go...3100 rpm.

Nice work Dave! On hard puzzles, I provide a copy of the pattern so the customer can use it to assemble the puzzle. On easier puzzles I tell the customer to take a picture before they take it apart.
