  9. First of all Dave, you are no Virgin at scrolling! Even though you have only been scrolling fot about seven months, you have accomplished more than most have in two or three years! That is a wonderfully done plaque. If I was selling it I would have a price of $45 on it. You have to try and look at a piece objectively, and ask your self, What would I pay for it? That's how I started with prices. If it doesn't sell, adjust the price for next time. If it does sell, you might think about raising the price next time.
  10. That looks great Todd, very nice work!
  11. It's a great technique indeed, but unfortunately the piece is ruined by multiple layers of thick poly. Just my opinion.

  18. Nice looking clocks Edward! It's never to early.
  19. I think you have already answered your own question. Actually, I'm sure it is possible, but for a clean cut I would use flat blades.
  20. Very nice work Denny! I always have one or two of those in stock.
  21. Nice work Terrylee! Hang in there and take care of yourself.
  22. One thing that has not been discussed here is learning how to prevent this in the first place. The trick is to sand the blank to finish grit before you apply the pattern and cut out the piece. After the piece is cut and the pattern removed, lighly touch up by hand wit the same grit you finish sanded with. Your pieces are beautifully cut. You should be proud!
  23. That came out great Todd, nice work!
  24. Yup, pratiice and experience is your best teacher. However a little advice helps too. Try it again using a flat blade, with high tension and you will be surprised at how much easier it is to cut the straight lines. As a scroll saw instructor, I start m students off using flat blades.
