    Wenge is a very dense wood. it is hard to cut but finishes to a beautiful dark brown to almost black color. as mentioned it is very brittle and splintery. use a reveres tooth blade or a Flying Dutchman Ultra reverse blade. this will help with splintering on the back side. Sand a round over on the top edge to prevent splinters. you will be pleased with the color when finished!
