  1. I suppose it depends on the type or project you are doing. If you cutting a portrait with hundreds of cutouts that are mostly small cutouts that don’t really define anything, then it doesn’t really matter. However, if you are cutting word art or desk plaques or clocks where every or most cuts actually define something, then yes, it is important to cut as accurately as possible.
  2. Welcome to the Village Sonja! You have done some very nice work. We are here to support you in your new hobby!
  3. That is beautiful Ray! Those two woods are going to POP when you apply a finish! Make sure we see it finished.
  4. Great work Jim! Did you make the pattern?
  5. Absolutely amazing work Tony! Question, do you use a spiral blades?
  6. Yup, that’s what I do!
  7. I don’t know Ray, a hot glue gun is a hot glue gun! I use a hot glue gun for tacking together stacks for stack cutting. It works great but I have now idea where I got it nor is there a name on it other than MADE IN CHINA. ok, I checked, it is made by ARROW. It heats up real fast, usually in two or three minutes and does what I need it to do. Is it the best? I don’t know but it works for me! BTW, did you get woken up by a tsunami siren?
  8. Well done!
  9. Great recovery Bobby, and nice job on the other two!
  10. Nice work Brent! If you use 1/8” Baltic birch plywood you could stack cut and have four cut at once.
  11. That looks awesome Brian!
  12. Nice work Edward, it look like it’s going 100 mph!
  13. Well done Gordon!
  14. Another beautiful plaque there Charlie! Man I wish I had some of that air dried wood!
  15. I had to chuckle, I do the same thing!
  16. One important factor to consider is that saw is at least 20 years old. I would not consider buying a used saw without trying it out in person. If it has never been serviced, the bearings will be worn and create lots of problems.
  17. I’m sure he will love whichever one he receives, nice work Marg!
  18. Ta Da! What an awesome job Paul! It is truly an inspiration to all of us!
  19. Ditto on what Tom Said. I glue up boards all the time. You have to have perfectly jointed edges. Fortunately for me, I have a jointer, but can be done with a good table saw blade. As long as the edges are perfectly square and flat, and using wood glue and clamps, you should be good to go!
  20. I don’t know for sure, but the Pegas saw is a clone of the EX saw so it should fit.
  21. Yes, it will.
  22. Great projects Edward! I’ve been thinking about cutting the guitar, it looks like fun.
  23. Like JT, I have always stated to stay away from products that are not designed as a finish. Mineral oil is sometime used on cutting boards and wooden cooking utensils. These items require periodic refreshing as they don’t get a top coat. Also mineral oil has no driers, so it never really dries. If you are looking for fast, try some spray shellac. It dries in minutes. Just use several light coats.
  24. Didn’t take any pics of my cutting today but....Go 49’s!!!!
  25. Wow, very nice!
