  1. Beautiful cutting on a beautiful piece of wood!
  2. I understand. I’m sure you are finding that hard Maple is very easy to cut or at least it is for me. I love how the cut edges come out so smooth and even shiny. Although I’ve never stained Maple, it does take a topcoat very nicely.
  3. Looking great Paul! I noticed you aren’t cutting the traditional cutting from the center out. Any particular reason?
  4. It’s your choice. When I cut portraits, I will stack cut four 1/8” layers. If I desire more depth, I will stack cut two 1/4” layers.
  5. Well Gary, you are well on your way to becoming a professional scroller! Good on you!
  6. Ray, I think you are thinking to hard!!
  7. Just to clarify, RBI is now Bushton Manufacturing.
  8. It’s looking great so far Paul! Of all the different types of scrolling, fret work like this is my favorite. Looking forward to your progress.
  9. Very nice Kevin! I love the different poses.
  10. Very nice work! Sorry about being snowed in.
  11. Nice!
  12. I just looked a a post that a Kevin posted last week. He cut that pattern. Looks like an optical illusion as on the pattern, the wings are painted. This makes it look like they are wrapped around the people.
  13. Beautiful work as always Dave!
  14. Cool work!
  15. Something to be cherished for a lifetime! Very nice work Scott!
  16. Hey Ray, I wouldn’t go with Sapele because it’s pretty close in color to Mahogany. A lighter color wood like Maple would be great. Even Cherry or red oak would work. As far as Sapele goes, I don’t have problems finding it. I use it all the time. I can find it at the local Woodcraft store and I can find it at the hardwood dealer in Oxnard called Mayan Hardwoods. I always buy full size 1” boards and mill it down to the sizes I need.
  17. Very impressive work Paul!

    Very nice work!
  19. Yes it will. It is pretty generic motor with a 5/8” shaft. I have the exact same setup, just different color and name on the motor. It works great!
  20. You have got to be kidding!!! You are blaming homelessness on them being released from the prisons? How ignorant can you be?
  21. It’s so easy to wipe off the nozzle after each spray!
  22. Unfortunately it’s typical with a drought and fires. We have seen it all to often in California. Hope you don’t flood out Marg!
  23. Nice!
  24. Great work Ralph!
  25. Wonderful work Frank! Both Russell and Bob are excellent pattern makers, we are fortunate to have them here at the Village!
