  1. I would rather look at a couple of pictures rather than watching a boringly Long video!
  2. Yup, Walnut. The typical walnut you buy at the lumber store is steamed to produce the uniform brown color we are familiar with. Air dried walnut will retain its natural colors which includes the purplish color you see in the picture. Steaming Browns the whiteish sapwood so the board will be a more uniform color.
  3. I do this too. If the backer is to be painted, I paint first then wait till the paint is cured, or if I’m using a hardwood or a hardwood plywood, I’ll go ahead and glue the overlay to the backer, then cut the outer circle together, then sand to finish.
  4. Cool beans man!
  5. Excellent work Steve, the both look great!
  6. Hey Dave, Welcome to the Village! This might be fun. I’m in if others are into it.

  10. That’s Kiwi ingenuity Rob!
  11. Very clever Paul!
  12. Nice work Les, but the hose looks a little short. You want the hose positioned to blow the dust away from you, not at you.
  13. Looks good to me!
  14. This is why I use hardwoods! No paint, no stains. A soaking in 50/50 boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits brings out the natural color and grain of the wood. Then a few light coats of spray on lacquer as a top coat.

  18. Sounds like you are talking about my wife!
  19. I will answer your third question only as the best is subjective. The least aggressive in my opinion are Olson reverse tooth blades.
  20. Yes I did Ray. I don’t drink coffee, but a beer would good! If you feel like taking a drive north sometime, I’ll buy lunch! has to be on a weekend though, I still work!
  21. Ray, go back and read my post six replies up!
  22. Looks great Rob!
  23. Congratulations Jay, very nice work!
  24. Right now, folks have to sign over $25, but I hear soon, they won't have to sign if scanning the chip. Even though I have an iPhone, I use my iPad for taking cards with Square. I have a dedicated hot spot that connects via Blurtooth to my iPad. I prefer the iPad because it had a bigger screen and looks a bit more professional than my little iPhone. Edward, congratulations on a good show. We all know spring shows don't do to well.
