  1. Kevin your a cutting machine!! At least you claim to be... You know pictures or it didn't happen :-P
  2. Awesome! This is the first I've ever heard of Lathe art, but I like it already...lol And it was a great movie too!
  3. As a Lord of the Rings fan I must say you did a wonderful job and I think any fan would be proud to hang that on their wall!!
  4. Great piece and I love the use of the flag in the background!
  5. Looks great! Especially for a first attempt. I've yet to get one worth showing and I'm on about my 5th attempt...lol. Keep up the great work!
  6. Thanks for the kind words everyone!
  7. I haven't posted anything new in quite awhile so thought I'd post this. I just got around to finishing it last weekend and thought it came out pretty good. The pattern is from scrollsawartist.com and as always was a great pattern to work with. I cut it from 1/4" Baltic Birch and used a combination of 2/0 FD New Spiral, and #3 and #5 FD Ultra reverse blades. Hope you like it.
  8. I use the plastic test tubes that I label and they simply sit on a small rack next to my saw. Got the tubes from amazon for just a couple bucks.
  9. Jerry, I really like the idea of a custom crate for for future transportation. I think I'm going to use that idea when I finally get around to building my clock. Thanks for the idea.
  10. I too plan on building one of these wonderful clocks, hopefully sooner than later. To me it's a challenge that I'm really looking forward to and hopefully I can do it at a quality that I'll be proud to have in the family as an heirloom for a long time. I don't think I'd ever try and sell anything like it as I just don't think you could ever get out of it what you put into it. I think its got to be done out of love of scrolling and a desire to produce something beautiful.
  11. Very sad news. The one time I spoke with him on the phone he was so very friendly and helpful.
  12. Looks great! I love the idea and look forward to seeing what more you do with it.
  13. Very nice!
  14. Love me some Ozzy! Looks great Dan!
  15. Looks like its coming together well Kevin!
  16. Keefie, There should be no reason that your Corel Draw won't work with Windows 10. If for some reason you have trouble running it normally you can run it in Compatability mode which makes the program think its running in an older version of Windows. To do this you right click on the program icon on your desktop, click on properties then go to where it says compatability and click the box to run it in an older version of windows. If you have trouble or have any more questions feel free to message me on here and I'd be happy to help you out.
  17. Looks great! I'm enjoying watching your progress on this, thanks for sharing!
  18. Got mine last night, a day ahead of schedule. Looked like good quality wood for sure. It will probably be Sunday before I can get around to working with any of it, but I'm looking forward to getting to it. This is my second time ordering from them and both times I've been very pleased.
  19. Awesome! Still love their old movies!
  20. Very nicely done! I've had my eye on that one for awhile, one of these days I'm going to break down and do it myself.
  21. Good deal Ike! I like working with popular, nice easy cutting wood. I got a shipment of Baltic Birch in yesterday from Ocouch and already have projects lined up for every piece I got in...lol. One can never have too much wood!
  22. Tommy, Mike sold his business about a year ago to Wooden Teddy Bear. You can still order blades through Mikesworkshop.com, but you are actually buying them from Wooden Teddy Bear. The good news is that WTB seems to be upholding Mike's great service and speedy shipping. At least that has been my experience with them so far. Gordster, I agree with the others. Throw those away and get you some Flying Dutchmen or Olson. I've used both and they are both great blades and you can't go wrong with either. Josh
  23. I live in Florida and with the humidity here if you don't wax your table you'll have a pile of rust in no time (found that out the hard way). I use Johnson's paste wax as well and it has worked great for me.
  24. Looking good Kevin, take your time and get it just the way you want it. You'll be back to putting out beautiful work in no time!
