  1. Very nicely done!
  2. Looks great! A great start, to a very rewarding hobby, keep at it!!
  3. I love it! Very nicely done with some nice creative touches.
  4. Very nice work! I know a few hunters that would drool over this.
  5. I think they came out beautifully! Thanks for sharing.
  6. This is great news Kevin! Glad to hear it!
  7. Adorable! You did a wonderful job capturing their likeness!
  8. I'm really liking that Ridgid, thought like Scrappile says there is no disk. Do you guys that have it miss the disk sander or do you have a separate disk sander? I better get to buttering up the Wife if I'm going to bring one of these home.....lol. Thanks for all the advice so far guys. Josh
  9. I was originally going to get the Harbor Freight one since I could get it for about $60, but the reviews sort of scared me off. Lowe's sells the Skill for $120, but again the reviews are a bit mixed. I could probably spend $200 if I'm really nice to the wife on Valentines day this weekend...lol
  10. Hello everyone, I'm considering purchasing a new stationary belt/disk sander and I'm just curious if anyone has any suggestions/recommendations. I have about $150 that I can spend. Thanks, Josh
  11. Vey nicely done!!
  12. Looks great Dick!!
  13. There was a post on here a few months back singing the praises of Top Feeding and so I gave it a try and found that I hated it. It was just uncomfortable for me trying to fumble around under my saw to get the blade in place and on top of that I bent a lot of blades trying to get them through the holes. I really think its just a preference thing though, do what is comfortable for you.
  14. You've done an amazing job with this! I really like that Walnut and think all you need is some poly on it as others have said. I kind of think that the backer would look good slightly darker, maybe try boiled lindseed oil on that. Again, excellent cutting!!
  15. Oldhudson, I simply dipped it in lemon oil. I was going to put a few coats of poly on it, but decided against it since I don't have much luck with it on fretwork.
  16. Congratulations Edward!!!!
  17. It came out great, definitely something to be proud of! Josh
  18. I love the border, I think it adds a nice touch. That being said I'd still put it in a frame as well, but it does look fine without it. Josh
  19. Thanks everyone! She loved it. She took it to work with her today to put up in her office. Josh
  20. I cut this for my Wife for her birthday. The pattern is by User: Grampa from the pattern library here at the village. Cut from 1/4 inch Red Oak. For the Rose and the small holes all around the edges I used a #3 FD Spiral blade, all other cuts were done with a #3 FDUR flat blade. Thanks for looking!
  21. I love it!! Great work Paul!!
  22. Mine is out in my old fiberglass shed for now but hoping to get a nicer shed this year that I can cool and heat it.
  23. Frank I've personally not seen anyone else use stains quite the way you have, though they are probably out there. I really like what you've done with both of these projects. Personally I've never done any kind of coloring in my work and until recently never really thought about it. Seeing what you've done though sure has the wheels turning, I may have to try something a little more interesting soon. Thanks for sharing.
  24. That's a wonderful collection of work, Thanks for sharing it with us!
  25. Beautiful work! Hope to hear good news on your saw. Thanks for sharing!
