  1. I just finished cutting this backlit scroll saw picture. A little late for Halloween but oh well. This one will go up in my Voodoo Lounge.
  2. I was introduced to fishing by my grandparents, and I still love it. I got to teach my own grandson to fish, and it is an absolute joy to spend time with him out fishing at a nearby lake.
  3. The emblem is intarsia. I know what you mean about getting in and out of sports cars. They are not my friends anymore.
  4. Yes. I make all my own patterns.
  5. A friend of mine asked me to make these for him. The barber sign was for him to give his own barber as a retirement gift.
  6. My latest work, inspired by a deepening relationship with our Savior.
  7. I just finished cutting this one.
  8. Sorry it took me so long to acknowledge your birthday wishes. I just now was notified of them.
  9. I did the fine lines in the lettering VERY carefully. I used Pegas 2/0 spiral blades (they are the thinnest I can find) and I turn the speed down to the slowest setting on my saw.
  10. I only takes a little practice...to retrain your muscle memory.
  11. Yes I make all my own patterns. I have made several other Christian cuttings but never made the Stations.
  12. Here are some of my recent Christian cuttings depicting important events in the life of Jesus. Baptism; Behold the Lamb of God; Last Supper (backlit); Temptation by Satan
  13. I cut this one for our upcoming Fourth of July. Picture depicts Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson drafting the Declaration of Independence. Our founding fathers had incredible courage.
  14. Thank you all for your kind comments. I love this fantastic group of people here in SSV.
  15. Wishful thinking of summer.
  16. Travis, this was so well done! Excellent timing and display of all that you were doing. Keep these coming.
  17. I just cut this. I found a piece of wood with grain that looked just right. I want to donate this to a local charity to sell. Those of you who sell your work, please tell me what price you would ask for this.
  18. I got back to my scroll saw art after a month break to work on other projects. I made this one for my wife, Leslie, because she taught me to love nature.
  19. Amazing work. I love the subjects you chose. How thick are these pieces?
  20. I've done no Charles Dearing patterns, but I make my own, sometimes from his inspiration. I have done 50+ portraits and I use Pegas 2/0 spirals exclusively. Once you get used to spirals, they allow so much versatility.
