Hi Don,
Love the festive Avatar.
Hi Blaughn,
I appreciate your very kind comments.
Cheers Roly.
Hi Dave,
I will try and get it finished tomorrow and post the results.
Hi Larry,
Glad you like it mate.
You are very welcome Spirithorse
Hi Kev,
It is always good to hear from you. Hope you are doing well.
Hi Len,
You are right about it being a bit Dandy. It would look more at home on the set of Pride & Prejudice
Merry Xmas to All.

Hi All,
I need a few shelves in the shed and started one today. I made it slightly longer than the pattern and I will add a drawer.
Pattern is from Steve good.
Thanks Kevin,
If you get a chance to get hold of a lathe you will not regret it. Very rewarding.
Hi Roly,
It is rather pungent and not good. I think I'm going to be using ca fairly often so I will look into the odourless stuff.
Cheers
Paul
Here is another short video
Hi all, Got some turning done today. This was the first time I used ca glue as a finish. I'm a big fan of the high shine finish. This is Burr Elm. It was meant to be a pen but I made a mistake and had to install the letter opener. That is why the wood is not flush with letter opener hardware. Here I used black locust and acrylic tortoise shell effect shims. This is Brown Mallee. A beautiful figured wood.
Regards Paul
Thank you all for the comments.
Hi Len,
I used the Slimline pencil kit but I do not use the centre band. I prefer the blank to be in one piece rather than two.
Cheers
Paul
Hi All,
I recently got myself a new lathe and today was the first chance I got to use it. I had a Click pencil mechanism and decided house it in a piece of Black Locust burl.
