  4. Hello Merlin. Thanks mate.👠I agree. It's a real nice pattern to cut.
  5. Hi Lorenzo. Here is a link to the Steve good patterns. If you type in the search box, Butterfly plaque http://www.stevedgood.com/catalog/ At the bottom of this link there are two chestnut dealers in the U.S. Hope that may help. http://chestnutproducts.co.uk/otherstockists.php
  6. Thanks all for the comments. 👠Hi Bob. You can get them on line from a few places. I bought mine from Axminster, I think they cost £16 for 9 trial bottles. I will get the wood colour trial pack next so I can find my favourite shade. Cheers Paul
  7. Very nice MerlinðŸ‘
  8. Hi All. I bought a cheap table saw this week as I want to start having nice square edges to my boards, also it will help in putting a simple border around my scroll saw patterns. I also wanted to try out the rest of the Chestnut stains and so here are the results. 😄 After cutting the ply to the correct size I then adjusted the blade so it would cut a recess and ran the board over the saw. I then coloured in the grooves. The pattern is from Steve Good and the original is in a oval shape. I went with a square shape so I could add my own border. Cut a backer board, then placed the pattern on top and then marked with a pencil. I then started adding the stain. I used all the colours except white. 😋😀 This was a enjoyable project. The stains are great to work with and a cheap way to find out what colours you prefer. My problem is I like all of them. 😜😀👠All the best Paul
  9. Don't forget your EAR defenders. ðŸ‘
  10. They look fantastic. It's a great talent you have to make a scroll saw pattern look like the original photo without it looking too busy and complicated. Bravo. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
  11. Great portraits. Will you have a chance to shoot some video of the show? I always find it very interesting to see what the place looks like and other people's work. You have a great time. 👠All the best Paul

  18. Hi All. Decided to revisit this Steve good pattern. This time the backing is birch ply and the outline is plastic. I stained the backing Black so the outline stands out. The stain is from Chestnut products. I bought the sample pack of different colours and this is the first time I've used this type of stain. Cheers Paul
  19. Good point about the candle and plastic mix. I was thinking more along the lines of LED lighting. Is it possible to get the patterns in PDF format? They really do look great.
  20. Hi Kevin. Nice cutting. 👠Does not look like you have a shortage of wood. Mind you, considering the amount of work you turn out I suppose it doesn't last that long. 😉
  21. Great scrolling. Like the idea with the folders for backing.ðŸ‘
