Hi DW. I like that idea of rope. 😎ðŸ‘But I think I will use the rope as the frame. Maybe run 10 mm around twice, round of the corners slightly so the rope has a nice line to follow.

This is another pattern from the Steve good site. I would like to find a border pattern for this. Anybody have links to that kind of pattern. ? Cheers Paul Lightly stained ply backing.

My mate asked if I would scroll his clubs logo. So with help from our Maestro Bobscroll I ended up with this. I was going to make it a shield type shape. But I sent a photo to my mate and he wants just as it is. Less work for me. 😉😀ðŸ‘

It's kind of finished. I wanted to colour the clear feather but I like what Koehler said about keeping this as is. I do like the plain simple look to it. That's one way of getting out of more work. 😊😜😀 The next one I will go with more colour. This has been a joy to work on I've really enjoyed it. Thumbs up to Sue Mey for this pattern. 👠Thank all Paul

Thanks Frank Thanks Gator. It is a nice feeling when you go back to 9mm ply. 😄 Cheers Jim. Yes the Oak is beautiful. I cut one of the pen holder patterns yesterday and that looks nice. Hi LarB. I used a different process for cutting the teeth on this one compared to my first saw pattern. Instead of doing the regular scroll saw cut of cutting a zigzag, I cut a straight line that touced the tip of each tooth and then did all the cuts one way and then the other. Ended up with lots of little triangles and sharp looking teeth. I suppose that's the way everyone does it, but I'm a slow learner. 😀😋 Thanks Fish. 👠Thanks Marg. Marg, Kepy and Dan. Thanks for the comments. 👠Got more done today. 😀 I made a small change to the original pattern. I found that the centre piece was to close to the inside of the frame. So I just cut the pattern and made it a 1 and a 1/4 inch wider and longer. There is no need to do that, just a personal preference. I also found a pot of wax that we got with some oak furniture that we bought a few years ago. I am meant to give the units a coat of this stuff but forgot. 😳😊 Anyway it makes quite a nice stain. I gave a coat to the backing and frame. Not done anything with the centre piece yet. Decided to make the feathers in plastic. I like the opaque, the clear ones I will give a bit of colour. I might even make some wood ones but I need to get some 3mm ply. Leather string is ordered. ðŸ‘😄
