  1. Thanks rdatelle. I will give it a coat of stain on the back plate and the frame that I will make tomorrow. I need to get a few different shades of stain. If you guys have preferred makers names for these type of products please let me know. Cheers Paul
  2. Big thanks to all.
  3. Thanks Frank. ðŸ‘
  4. Great work Kev. 😎ðŸ‘
  5. Hi All. Started on this today. It's a Sue Mey pattern. It will have a frame and the pattern will be suspended within the frame. I will have it finished up tomorrow. Just need to source some leather type chord. Cheers Paul
  6. I like that natural edge.
  7. Dick. It has been an absolute pleasure to share on this site and to see so many amazing pieces of work from the members here. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠All the best Paul.
  8. Super pattern and fantastic cutting. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
  9. Big thanks to all of you for the great comments. 👠Cheers Paul
  10. Fantastic work gator. Good luck with the show.
  11. Thanks for the info.
  12. Hi All. Another Steve good pattern. The wood I have been told is Douglas Fir. It is 3/4 inch and cuts beautifully. I used a No 5 reverse tooth. The little bit of wood at the bottom is a prop as I've not attached it to the base yet.
  13. Beautiful work. What size and make of blade do you use on work like this?
  14. Roly, Dick, Gordie and Merlin. Many thanks for the comments @Merlin. I think the piece of Oak is left over from a kitchen installation All the best Paul
  15. Hi Dick. That is an amazing piece of workðŸ‘ðŸ‘
  16. Excellent cutting.
  17. Hi Kevin. Great work. What a nice way to bring a smile to someone's face. ðŸ‘👠I'm going to do one for the postman. Got to find out his name first. 😀 All the best. Paul
  18. Thanks DW. 👠Hi Kevin. I agree with you, the 9 could be a little too much on a couple of areas of the letters. I have a 9 in a normal blade and it is fairly thick. I could of used that on the straight run but it does rip the underside a little. So I carried on with the 7 reversed tooth. I think I will get a couple of high number reverse tooth blades because I've still got a couple of foot of the oak. 😀 Thank you for your comments mate. Paul
  19. Thanks Steve👠Cheers Bob. I used a No 7 reversed tooth Olson. I did start with a No5 but it looked like the blade was wanting to bend off line. I got the feeling I wanted to use maybe a No 9 but I don't have one of those in reverse tooth. I would be interested in yours and others thoughts on what size and type of blade you would use on 1 inch oak.
  20. Thanks rjR.
  21. Hi All. Bobscroll made this up for me. 👠I've cut the pattern on 1 inch Oak. This has been the thickest material that I have cut to date. The saw pattern is one of Steve goods. I made a slight change, I didn't use the extra cut handle parts as I thought that would make the handle look too thick. I would of preferred to cut it out on thinner wood but this is what my mate wanted. 😀 Just a bit of sanding to be done. I found all the letters😄 So the two guys that these are for very kindly collected some wood for me to use. I asked them what they would like me to scroll for them and they said they would like there company name scrolled on a bit of the wood. So I thought for a bit of fun it would be good to do it on a shape that had something to do with their job. Thanks to Bobscroll this was the outcome. Regards Paul
  22. Super work Gordie.
  23. Gordie, DW and Merlin. Thank you. ðŸ‘
  24. That's too funny. 😜😄ðŸ‘
  25. Cheers Bob. I left some space down the left. I would like to fill it with one of Churchill's quotes.
