    FARM SHELF

    Very nice.
  2. Hi all. Tried this opaque plastic today. It cuts real nice.
  3. Hey Merlin. That's a handy bar to have😄ðŸ‘
  4. Hi Bob. Top tips. Thanks. I've started to use a better quality ply and apart from cutting nicer it does not have so many tear outs happening. I will definitely use your tips to cut down the problem further. I might also go the route of attaching the pattern directly to the wood and then use a cellulose (I think that's what it is) to remove the pattern after cutting. I read about it on this forum recently. Regards Paul
  5. Gordie & Marg. Many thanks. 👠@Merlin. I'm glad you put up the pic. For some reason I was thinking you were talking about the knurled quick release. 😳 I will dig out the part and put it in place and give it a try. 👠Cheers Paul
  6. Hi Merlin. Yes, please put up a pic. On another note. What do you use to oil the pivot points. ? Cheers Paul
  7. Excellent pattern and cutting.
  8. Very impressive. Great work Kevin.
  9. Hi Dan. A beautiful example. ðŸ‘I will revisit this pattern with some good quality wood. Kevin, Frank & rjR. Thanks for your comments. 😉 All the best. Paul
  10. Thanks chaps for all your nice comments. Agree with you all. It needs a little colour. Unfortunately I don't have any type of stain with me. I will get it done and then do the glue up. Next time I will do what Dan does and use different coloured woods, I will also stack cut.
  11. Cheers Bob. Hi Dan. Thanks for your comments. When you cut yours do you cut the outside of the pattern first.? And what wood do you use. ?
  12. Super piece of work.
  13. Cheers Paul. 👠The break is in the mane. Regards Paul
  14. Welcome to the friendliest forum in the world. 😄ðŸ‘
  15. Broke it on the last cut. Never mind, still enjoyed cutting this. :-) Front cut needs colour and then attached to the backing. Pattern from the Steve good site.
  16. Hi Roly. Very cool scrolling. :-) In a few weeks I will be in your neck of the woods. We will be working at Puzz le wood. I hope the stone is nice and warm when we arrive.!!
  17. There is only one way to find out. ;-) Interesting vid.
  18. Hi Kevin. Beautiful work.
  19. Hi bonacker Thanks for the detailed explanation. From what I understand it seems that you do everything with the saw blade. Do you use a fine abrasive at all to clean up the edges? On the sheen on the edge. I have recently seen a video where the guy shaped the edge of a piece of plastic with a router bit. This left the edge looking opaque. He then quickly passed a blow torch across the edge and it turned crystal clear.
  20. Hi bonacker After you finished your cutting what is your procedure to tidying the edges.? You have a great finish. Regards Paul
  21. Here is a short vid of me waffling on about the last pattern I cut. :-)
  22. Beautiful work.
  23. Cheers Bob. It's a pleasure.
  24. Hi all. Finished cutting another pattern today. I really liked doing this one, it's another pattern from the Steve good site. No sanding or finish as this is still practice wood.
  25. Hi Paul. How right you are. Many thanks for the welcome to the family. Regards Paul
