It is too bad you are disappointed....
But, I am thankful for the Art Factory for hosting the show and arranging classes. No,it is not like the Fox Chapel shindig but I had a good time. It is doubtful we will see another show like the Fox Chapel one. We can hope for it. I would be willing to pay a higher admission and class fee to go to one.
The dinner that they had at Eagle Point Park was fantastic and a lot of people attended. The park sits high over the Mississippi River with spectacular views of the river and locks. It was just perfect weather and very good food. I had dinner and talked about scroll sawing.
At the show, I also talked with a number of people about their projects. Yes, it would have been nice to have more vendors but I am happy.
There is also things to see in Dubuque. I went to the National Mississippi River Museum and it is new and interesting and had some 4D movies. I also made it to the Star Brewery and Stone Cliff Winery for lunch. There is also a casino but I spent money at the show.
Anything we can do to encourage and support local or regional shows is great.
