The question people should ask is whether any photo hosting site is good for long term photo storage. They are all under the same pressures to make money one way or another. They all can change their teams of service any time they want to. I believe it is best to always have a backup. Photos are an interesting thing for archiving or keeping long term. I have photos that are over 100 years old. Back then, people took very few photos. I have many photos that my dad took and are still in good shape. The photos you took on your camera or digital phone yesterday...how will someone see them in 75 years. We have problems just keeping photos from a year ago. Will technology in even 20 years be able to read your current digital photos. Even if the technology is available, how many pictures to be stored. Many people shoot zillions and post them on websites everywhere. Do you keep all your pictures, do you sort them, and how can you find them. How will you pass down pictures to your kids and Grandkids. The entire digital picture storage and archive issues are huge.

I do not trust any of the photo hosting sites. And...I do not trust my computer. I back it up about once a month and alternate external hard drives.

Sanding mops and Mac Mops are very different. I use a Mac Mop for more delicate sanding like on smaller puzzle pieces. I do most of my Intarsia sanding and shaping with a pneumatic sanding drum and finish with the sanding mop.

I really never think about it ...whatever works for you. But...clockwise in the northern hemisphere and counter clockwise in the southern hemisphere.

Jrpeteo....well done dust collection above and below the table. The dust deputy keeps from clogging vac and a good idea.

I try to position my dust pickup on top across from the dust blower. Both of these use Loc Line which makes it very easy to position them. I also have an Oneida dust cyclone collector with a lot of capacity. I use a vacuum on the scroll saw because it has more suction. When working with relatively small sized pipes and hoses the vacuum is a better choice. While a dust collector can move large amounts of air like 500-1000 cfm the suction is generally only about 7-10 " of suction. A good vacuum usually move 125 cfm but at 100" of water. The difference means much better suction for small pipes.

I use a Festool vac and have pickups for the dust above and below the table. I use Loc Line adjustable pick up on top so I can keep the pick up out of the way but close to the blade. The Festool and Fein are designed for continuous use and are quiet. Yes, they are not cheap but are HEPA rated. Dust collection is best done as close to the source as possible. I am not a fan of the fans with a filter on them as you push fine dust in the air and will be breathing it.

Cut it from a larger piece. You could mount it on a piece of 1/8" plywood.

Nicely done project. With your medical issues take care of yourself. With chronic pain problems life is a balancing act between doing things and doing too much and finding yourself in a world of hurt. Incidentally, I did not follow my own advice and did too much this weekend and paying the price for it.

I use 3M77 spray glue over blue tape. I just use a quick spray and do not bother to try to clear nozzle. I just have to scrape the nozzle off once in awhile. I also bought some replacement nozzles on eBay.

And 6. Quill Slop....I just sold my Jet drill press for a very low price. The run out was not bad but the quill had sideways movement when the quill was extended. One needs to decide what they need/want from a drill press and then find one to meet your needs. I bought one that has much better specs and variable speed.

Interesting and LONG comment... I have asked them to run a Poll to see what people would like in the magazine. I think that two questions should be asked. The first, what type of projects would you like to see. Second, what type projects have you done in the last year or two. The response to my request was that it takes a long time to create a good poll. This was three months ago. I recently asked for an update and not heard back. They have asked for comments which I think is far worse than a Poll for validity. Many may complain but not take the time to send a message. Best way to get feed back will be with subscriptions. For me, I will not renew mine when it comes up.

I do not have mine yet and hope it is better than the last two. While I understand having new type projects, some of them are just not what I am interested in. Several of the posts sound like advertisements for the magazine.

I generally look thru woodworking magazines and figure how many articles I am interested in. With SSW&C, I have noticed a sharp decline in articles I might do. I like doing Intarsia and puzzles especially those by Judy Peterson. They have had IMHO too many crafty, painty ones. Also, they have had several very long ones on making a clock. I have asked them to do a survey of what readers would like but they replied takes a long time to conduct a proper survey. Because of the lack of projects I am interested in, I am strongly considering dropping it.

I am going to say this again. You need a good pain management doctor who can find a combination of things to make you feel better and still be functional. He can also help with the side effects. How do I know this...I saw my pain management doctor yesterday and see him once a month.

From what Kevin has said about his meds and problems, perhaps alcohol should be avoided.

I had already found them with a search but based on the post I thought you had a particular model/brand that you could share.

The start of this thread tells about a 24 volt mini drill (2.4 ?). How about a link to it or brand name and where it is sold? Thanks

I have been using the blue tape and 3M77 with very good results.

I think it is too much.....maybe $200 at most.

PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT I think you need to turn off the tools until your meds are straightened out. This goes for anyone. If you are not thinking straight why would anyone use power tools or even hand tools. Kevin....please stop with the tools until your mind clears up otherwise you could get injured My wife makes certain that I am not working with tools if I have any issue like this.

Kevin - maybe your regular doctor can help you more as they may know more about your issues. I am sorry that you were so sick that you had to go to the ER but glad that you were well enough to do all the scrolling work.

I think this is so wrong. Doctors have huge overhead cost and there fees are determined by the government. Making a general statement like this about doctors is just not right. I really wonder if you go to the ER 4 times and the doctors do not find anything. I have good, caring doctors and am on Medicare. Sorry, but I could not let a comment like this go unanswered.

I think finding a position that is comfortable is the key. For me, having the heels of my hands on the table does not work. Peru, I do not have any issue with sore shoulders or elbows. It will make a big difference where the work is. Is the work at chest level like mentioned or higher or lower. I think one should try different positions and find one that works for you. So many of us are older with a lifetime of wearing out different parts of their bodies and this will have an effect on what position works best. When cutting thicker pieces, I routinely relax pressure to check if I am pushing right or left.
