  1. We don't have any such thing here. But I have subscribed to this club's youtube-channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPEBAg3tUu1eFiyfRblfLIQ They are fun to watch and learn from.
  2. wow so much great information!!! Thank you guys!
  3. So my lion is finished. How and what do I attach as hardware to the back to be able to hang it and what do I use for attaching it to the wall? What is sturdy enough to hold so much wood both in the frame and on the wall? I have no clue and welcome any advice your generous hive mind might have!
  4. I agree wholeheartedly! Yes indeed. I would rather give a piece as a gift to someone who appreciates it, than sell it below what I think it is worth! It is the same with my fiber products (I spin yarn and knit).
  5. Outstanding piece and outstanding cutting. Perfection!
  6. I hope they will love it! Because it deserves it!
  7. very nice! what kind of blade do you use? hubby's bandsaw only produces awful raggedy edges.
  8. I have been using a shopvac successfully and quite happily attached. I keep a piece of toothpick in there to keep the plastic from "sticking" to the bottom of the deck. Even re-glued the plastic with duct tape after it came loose. It makes a lot of difference in the amount of sawdust in the air that I see floating in the light of my lamp.
  9. Get well soon!
  10. For weeks now I have put random pieces together until I had something about as big as a letter-size piece of paper. Then I spent a couple days ;-) on the computer trying to make a bowl pattern. Once I cut, I thought "bowl or tray", but my daughters both preferred the bowl version. So here we are. Saved lots of precious wood scraps. Took a lot of patience, but it payed off, I believe! Hope y'all agree.
  11. Thank you guys! You know how make a scroller feel special
  12. Husband said the little pieces were too small and dangerous on the table saw. And the band sander for some reason does not yield completely straight edges either. Thank you everybody for your kind words!
  13. great pattern, very well cut! Thank you for sharing!
  14. Had so much leftover wood from intarsia pieces that I went for a barn quilt. Man - cutting straight lines that fit together on a scroll saw is cruel and unusual punishment. Then you glue stuff together and don't pay attention. At some point I stopped counting how many times I sawed apart what I myself or "helpful hubby" glued together. And then some pieces I had to re-saw. But here we are:
  15. Thanks guys. I also think / Hope it is more for decorative use. But in the end it's up to the future owner. It's from a student to their teacher.
  16. Another cutting board, special order. Upcycled a board from Target (from India - I think it is Mango wood).
  17. Thanks Dave!
  18. This hit the heartstrings! This will be the first mother's day after my mother's passing. Thank you for this!
  19. That is fantastic both for you and the kids!
  20. What are you not seeing, Kevin? Perhaps not the title? The cutting board is in the shape of the state Tennessee. Everybody: Thanks for your kind words!
  21. Walnut 2 inches (guestimate) with musical notes where Memphis (and Elvis) lies.
  22. Thank youi
