  3. Thanks guys! Len, go right ahead!
  4. Daughter bought a piece of basswood at Michael's, which I cut in half for nativities. And at TJMaxx I bought coasters, which I "renovated" as well. Hope y'all like.

  6. Thank you, Ron. First and third are Olive. Center is something from a Cutting Board made in Thailand. Very thick (3/4") yet extremely light-weight.
  7. As a German, I am intrigued now. Are these type of crosses unusual for America? Or because of the cut-out? They are quite "normal" to me. I do appreciate the praise for the workmanship, for sure. But I am curious to hear more from you guys.
  8. Thanks, guys
  9. daughter had a successful craft fair today, so I needed to make some more. Currenty very busy with work and working on a book at home, so that there is not much time for crafting. But toniite I put in 5 hours. Actually lost track of time. It's way past my bedtime now.

  15. Inspired by Debinoz Holiday Trivet and because I needed a hostess gift, I made this trivet. I upcycled another cutting board. This time Acacia Wood (5.95 bucks) It's five o'clock somewhere!
  16. Thank you, friends! I shaped it with a Dremel, actually! Put the hose of the shopvac under my left arm so it would suck up the dust as i was shaping. I also added a coat of BLO today.
  17. From another cutting board - this time Olive Wood from Italy, I wanted to make something really special. After hemming and hawing, my daughter thought a nativity would be nice. So I looked for something to turn into a pattern. Here is what I came up with. I put a plywood shim behind it, so it would stand out slightly. What do you think? Still need to oil it, though. edit: added a coat of BLO one day later
  18. Can you link to the pattern? Thank you so much!
  19. I was reluctant to click on this... bahahahaha
