    I love doing special orders. Every job is different. Never boring. It is a good thing that I am not doing this for the money because I spend so much time in design and going back and forth with the customer............................It's all about passion. My customer was giving these to two new deacons in her Catholic Church Both are cut out of 1/4" red oak MDF plywood (natural) mounted on 1/2" BB stained dark walnut.

    I think there is poly in gorilla glue. He said it worked well to fill the grain. He was making a little box. Finished the inside of the sides before. he mitered them and glued them together. I googled it and it looks like there are people using super glue also.

    A guy wants me to make a sign for him to go outside on his campsite. If you have any input on materials and finishes I would appreciate it. Makes me nervous........I like things to last.

    Last night on TV I saw a guy using Gorrila Glue as a finish. He put a few drops on the wood and rubbed it in with a cloth. After it was dry he sanded it with a ultra fine sand paper and then waxed it. Found it pretty interesting.
