  1. I use a regular blade to cut the rabbit. One cut on edge and the other on the back side.
  2. I do rabbit the back of the frame.
  3. You sure are keeping busy Gary. If I frame a project I always make my frame. I have never used glass. I have the same miter saw as you but I think I get a better job using a sled on my table saw which I made. I also make a lot out of poplar and lacquer them black.
  4. I didn't know you were a painter also. Came out great!
  5. I own the same miter saw and have it mounted on a cabinet with doors and drawers. I use Amana saw blades on my table saw and miter saw. They are expensive but to me they are worth it. https://www.toolstoday.com/v-10204-610800-ts.html
  6. You are a master at auto scrolling.
  7. I pretty well spray lacquer on everything.
  8. Love the colors!
  9. If you want to do an easy hinge, I use the LT277. It may not work on your type of box. https://craft-inc.com/collections/hinges?page=4
  10. That is a super pattern and cutting. Love it!
  11. Gary super job!
  12. Oh my gosh Don. You are defiantly the font expert.
  13. This is a Steve Good pattern that I modified. I used the drops from the inlaid box to make a second box that is fret work.
  14. Great idea Alex!
  15. Came out nice. I like the burned edge. Might look good with a dark brown stained backer.
  16. That came out great Gary. I hope you stack cut it. I never cut just one. I throw the extra in a box.
  17. That came out great!
  18. Very cool design Kevin.
  19. Nice job! Nothin better than grand kids. Congrats!
  20. That is a beauty Ron! Love it.
  21. Yes. It is a super thin nail with no head. Any nail that is the right length will work. I usually put a nail from each side.
  22. I stack cut 5 1/8" baltic birch. I make the pieces about 1" bigger than needed and use a 28 gauge pinner in the corners. I cut them to size at the end.
  23. Both look great. Love the burl.
  24. Great looking pattern and cutting.
  25. Nice job on your cutting and framing. When I need a frame I make my own. I use 3/4" x 2". If I paint it I use poplar. I usually rabbit the back about 3/8" x 3/8". I have never used matting or glass. Everyone has to develop their own style and way of doing things. When I first started doing portrait for people I would ask if they wanted it framed for and extra $25. They always chose for me to leave my 1/2" backer painted black sticking out 1/2" all the way around.
