  2. Thanks for the kind comments. I have been waiting for you to take a crack at it. I'm sure you can master it quickly and love it.
  3. Steve, I love working with beech. I just started using it. It looks a lot like red oak except the grain is closed. The hardness is about the same. It is also about the same price.
  4. Been really busy trying to get things finished up for the Denton, TX Arts and Jazz Festival April 26th - 28th. I found this clip art on Etsy. I made the plaque out of beech and walnut.
  5. Love the pattern cutting and story.
  6. I really like how you did the backer. I can't see the green behind the leaves but I can sure see the black eyes. Really a nice job!
  7. Ralph, You sure stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park on that one. Nice job!

  21. I use some MDF core oak plywood, stain the backer and finish with lacquer. I like it because the edge of the MDF core matches the backer.
  22. Same as Bear Woods I think. I'm thinking it was $859 including shipping for saw, stand and foot switch.
  23. I emailed Dave at D&D in January and asked him if he was going to be selling them and he told me yes. I decided to go with him because his service on saw blades.
  24. Scott is used to a Dewalt tensioning and the Pegas is totally different. What is weird to me is on the Pegas I can't feel the tension that I am putting on the blade. On my Hegner I can feel it. If I could only have one saw I don't know which one I would keep. I love being able to top feed with the Pegas but I like the fact that you can't wear out the Hegner.
