  1. i use painters tape on smaller work,Comes off pretty easy. If i am cutting multi patterns on a larger board i use the removable vinyl shelf paper.A lot cheaper.Comes in 12" rolls and goes a long way. And Neither one leave any residue especially when veining
  2. Iggy you are cutting a lot of 3/4".That is a fairly good test You are cutting Puzzles If the Keyes slide out both ways Thats a good test.If you were cutting some 1/8 that would help .But some one else will have to jump in on that.Ease of use is a big concern (blade changes) along with Vibration I am sure the saw was built to last.
  3. So Iggy will be the first to test ride the new Bushton made Saw here on SSV.Iggy the pressure is on
  4. Does anyone own a new BM 20 or 26 on SSV.that has been using it long enough for a review.According to Bushton they are really selling a lot of them. Is it mostly production type of work.I know we will get a good review from Iggy But is there anyone else using the new Models.
  5. So what you are saying it was definitely shipping related and you will inspect that saw to confirm that and let us know
  6. As you could see that is where I am now.But born and raised in Philly.Did not have a morgage until I was 51 YO when I moved out here.RJ where did you live at in this area
  7. Anyone in the Phila.Pa area There is a Type one for sale with stand and wheels lightly used 225.00 It listed last night on CL
  8. If we as consumers do our homework and search for reviews before we buy .Witch is not full proof, Could still get a lemon. Why wouldn't a reputable manufacturer or reseller research and find out how his product is being reviewed.Do they think they are above that or just do not care.I do my homework and still get burnt sometimes. But only once by the same person or product.
  9. Iggy that is what I tell my wife. And I look her straight in the eyes when I tell her.
  10. Iggy. Did he personally check the first one. You should have asked if they put a blade in the saw Because they built the saw and sold it .And if they did then they could say it was shipping damage and not guess. Now I do not think Jet will do that or a reseller of jet. Now I don't know if Ray at Seyco will do it because the Seyco saw does not have the base attached in the box. But then the Hawk is twice the money too.I like the jet.But if I can not run the saw that i purchased That is a deal breaker.I am on the fence about the Seyco because of the base But the service is good
  11. That hose is the dumbest thing i have ever seen .That is why a lot of people say (those things don't work). But once insulated works like any window unit I use it when my power goes out Room to room
  12. Iggy Insulate that plastic hose if you havn't already Makes a big difference if you are venting outside.
  13. I keep the garage doors open and use a large pedestal fan.It works great moving air.Now my garage is under the house .So the sun is not beating on it all day.Just late in the after noon it heats up in the driveway.
  14. I had the same problem with my Hegner Just compare the motors on both saws.I only use the Hegner now for really hard wood 3/4 and above The smallest blade i use is a 5 but most of the time a 7 It has to be slow and easy with the Hegner Everything else I use the EX.By doing this maybe the EX will outlive me
  15. I don't like an aggressive. But you have a nice option to adjust the cutting angle for a more aggressive cut to mimic the Dewalt.
  16. Iggy I just spent 2 hours watching the 2 videos on the new Hawk.A lot of thought went into this saw.I think after a few puzzles cut on this saw the blade system will come natural. It is a lot better than my Hegner The EX might be a little easier as is the Dewalt. I like all of the adjustments on this saw.If I needed a saw I think I would have to take the shot. This blade system looks easy to get used to.I think you need to cut a weeks worth of puzzles. Then give us your feedback. We will all be waiting.
  17. I have had that issue with my Hegner when I first got it .I just could not get used to the swinging top clamp. At 74 YO my fingers don't work like they used to .Lucky Hegner had a speed clamp modification that works really well and it makes the top clamp rigid and it loads like the EX
  18. At last a review and if works for you your going to get me divorced if she sees another saw in the shop
  19. You can buy the Sanding Mop already put together. But very expensive also Like stated above using either one the grits will sand finer than the same grit in sanding sheets sanding sheets The 120 and 180 are perfect together
  20. it was a great day for meeting people.A lot of people took Business Cards.i guess they just were not expecting our kind of work.A lot of beads and ballons. The lady who orginized the venders did a great job
  21. Mac Mop.Very expensive but it works really well and lasts a long time. I use 2 grits 180 for rougher work and 220 just to ease the edges and the fuzzies.Very light touch does it
  22. I think it was too local. People just walked out of there houses to take a walk and listen to free music and left their wallets at home.I have another Musicfest next Sunday it is a lot bigger show.A lot of venders In a Municipal park.No booz at this one I'll see what happens
  23. And soak the wood for a week in Rolling Rock
  24. That is what we were laughing about. It was such a nice day for July .Everybody was walking there dogs. The only ones that did good were the Local Pubs. But they do good every Day
