I would suggest some CA glue. This happens to me often and CA is the best way to keep the crack from spreading. The CA glue is typically transparent so after it sets, you just have to sand and then the crack will be secured! The crack will not disappear but it will not spread. Hope this helps!

I agree with you Norm about ear protection as I have been wearing noise cancelling headphones for a few years now. Also, because I scroll in my basement, I needed to get a unit that is quiet so that my wife would not complain about the noise also. Happy Wife Happy life! Its a win win!!!

You need a dead man switch that is NO (Normally Open) so that when to remove your feet from the Switch, it will not continue to run. I believe Harbor freight has one that you could use.

I've been trying to find the best and quietest dust collector for a few years now and i think i found a verry good one now. A little history: I've tried using a shop vac and even if it decent a sucking dust, it is way too noisy. I've then tried using Seyco's cyclonic action dust collector. This is fine but does suck very much and the Paper Filters that are used a very problematic and break constantly. I went through 2 in 3 years. I was then tempted to get the Foredom dust collector. They are very expensive but are very quiet. I had ordered one last November but the ETA is next June. In the meantime, Rockler came up with the Dust Right Tool Activated HEPA Dust Extractor. this was way cheaper than the Foredom so I bit the bullet. I am so pleased with this dust collector that I needed to share this with this community. I also decided to up the cyclone that came with the Seyco, and use the Mullet as a cyclone. I have no more dust under the saw, I will be getting a scrollnado to get dust from both the top and bottom.

I've heard of a few that had issues with the customer support of the Pegas saw and that is where Ray came in and saved them by now providing support for the Pegas saw as well. 3 years ago, I was facing the exact same dilemma and Opted for the Seyco. I've had my Seyco saw for 2 1/2 year now and have not regretted it one bit! And I have the support to back the saw for many years to come!

Well, I did it, for $120 I got the Excalibur from 1998 (with Seyco's Bill of sale) and a Hegner Multimax -2 (that needs a lot of TLC). I think I did good!
