  1. Thanks Iggy for your video and even your plan for you puzzle stand. I'd like to suggest to you a small modification on your stand . In the center, you left it open, I would suggest to close it and that way it gives you a hidden space to put bags, cards and your client will not see these. Again its just a suggestion but I found that at fairs, its important to find a space where you can have your supplies without having everybody see them. What do you think?
  2. That is really nice WayneG. Do you know the significance of the symbols? their meaning?
  3. Thank you again Iggy for sharing! Very informative. I'll be starting my "ornament season" next week and will be busy until mid December! You gave me some great ideas THANK YOU!!!!
  4. Thank you Iggy for taking the time and doing the video. You mentioned that next time, you would rent two both. If you have had two both from the start, would you have setup your display exactly like yon your second day or would you have set all of your tables side by side to have a better "frontage"?
  5. Thank you Iggy for sharing all you knowledge and experience. Good luck with the coming holiday season!!
  6. Iggy, This is fantastic work! How do you keep your puzzles together? Do you use plastic wrap of some sort? Rubber bands? masking tape on the back? Thanks
  7. Isn't it interesting to see how people look at deals like that!! I leaned this last year with my ornaments I tripled the sales! Glad that is working out for you Iggy!
  8. Thank you Iggy, I just got 3 that I got on amazon for $7 each. Like Scott, I prefer darker colors. They make my pieces come out! I chose a hunter green.
  9. I also wish we had one in the North east!
  10. Red cedar is at the top there but also Poplar. Poplar has a very distinct sweet smell that is not at sweet as sugar maple but sweet enough to recognize it from a mile away!
  11. Hi Jean-Claude from Burlington Vermont! Your English is totally fine but if you ever feel like asking questions in French, just send me a PM (Personnal Message) I'll be very very happy to converse with you in French. I used to live in Montreal, Canada and I'm a native French speaker! Bienvenue dans le Village des Chantourneurs!
  12. Looks like woodcraft is starting to distribute the EX made by King Canada but they call it King industrial 16" or 30". They are selling the 16" and the 30" saw. Not the 21".And prices look good! 599 and 899. https://www.woodcraft.com/products/king-industrial-16-inch-scroll-saw?via=573621bd69702d0676000002%2C573621e069702d0676000f61%2C576401bf69702d3ae3000c4b
  13. Welcome to the village Rolland from beautiful Burlington Vermont. I too was looking into a local club in my area and couldn't find one but this forum tis the next best thing.
  14. I've been using 1" cherry and Walnut because I have tons of it! I get the off cuts of a furniture maker ! But like Iggy, Poplar is one of my favorite to cut with.
  15. I'm using the plastic tubes with the lid. When I buy the blades , I take the label and stick it on the tube so I know exactly what I have in the tube. For holding the tubes, I just used an old jumbo peanut butter jars to hold the tubs. Works for me!!!
  16. I've been using a mixture of Mineral spirit, BLO and polyurethane. after dipping, I let it drip, wipe the excess and let it dry for 24 h. Some of my backing are painted and the paint doesn't dissolve.
  17. Welcome to the village Ron from beautiful Vermont!!! Don't hesitate to ask questions. We are all eager to help each other out.

  20. I cut a lot of hard (Maple, Walnut, Cherry and thicker BB) and thicker wood (1/2" to 1") and I opted for the Olson PGT #7 or #9. I have not found a blade that stays this sharp for this long and the finish cut is practically polished. I've tried the Pagas and they were OK. I might need to give the FD a try!
  21. Hi Iggy, where did you get a full set of bearings and bushings? I'm in the process of biting the bullet also but I'd like to be ready will all the right parts before I take mine apart.
  22. Thank you Wayne, awesome video! Now to get the parts list !
  23. Thank you Travis for getting us back online. Thai is how we know we are addicted. Awesome work!
  24. You are right Randy, Options are great. If I ever decide to sell my Dewalt, I'm just keeping the knobs and the byer will never know!
  25. Scrappile, if you mean a set screw, yes it does have a set screw. You jam the knob on your existing screw and with an Allen key, you tighten the set screw so it doesn't come flying off in the middle of a cut.
