  1. That was an amazing challenge, especially for the first with spirals. Very well done.
  2. Brenda, that is a real challenge. You did a wonderful cut on that project.
  3. I still use FD UR #1 blades. Lots on hand.
  4. My guess, the #5 blade is too large for 1/4" plywood. I would use a #1.
  5. Thanks Dave. All comments are appreciated.
  6. Thanks Les. We had a pastor years ago use the word "Dynamite" a lot.
  7. Thanks Melanie. I purchased my stock from Ocooch Hardwoods.
  8. Very well done, Bobby.
  9. Thanks Kevin. A little challenge.
  10. Very well done.
  11. Welcome to the forum from Tennessee.
  12. Thanks Kevin. Sanding with a 220 Mac Mop between coats. Breakage does, especially when it in such a place that glue up doesn't work.
  13. Very well done on a very delicate project. Charles Hand has some amazing patterns.
  14. Great work on your first. Suggest you keep it in the shop and look at it from time to time and you will see the progress.
  15. Thanks Bernd. It smells good too!
  16. Thanks Paul. I like the Red Cedar for the Butterfly. I used 3/8" stock.
  17. Thank Brenda. Five years ago, I made one using Walnut and Hard Maple. I like the Red Cedar better.
  18. Thanks Brenda. An easy cut just be careful on the slots.
  19. Paul, I have one comment, thanks. LOL
  20. Last week Steve Good posted these patterns and I thought it would be fun to make. I used 1/4" Walnut. It is 3 1/4" wide and 6" high. I tried to make the 3" out of Cherry, but it broke and I was unable to glue it together. I used FD UR #1 blades and finished with sanding sealer and two coats spray Lacquer Clear Semi Gloss. Comments welcome.
  21. Thanks Jim. I appreciate the comment.
  22. The pattern is by Diana Thompson and found in "Custom Wooden Boxes for the Scroll Saw". The box is approximately 5 1/2" in diameter. It is made from Hard Maple with Red Cedar Butterfly inlay. I used FD Polar #3 and #7 blades. The finish is one coat sanding sealer and two coats spray Lacquer Clear Semi Gloss. Comments Welcome.
  23. That is a work of art, Ike. A wonderful gift for a friend.
  24. Welcome to the forum from TN.
