  1. Thanks Dave.
  2. Thanks Marg. No it is very easy to cut. The trick is getting the slots just right so there is no gluing.
  3. Thanks Ron. I made these over the last eight years, so maybe four or five a year. Makes great gifts.
  4. Thanks Grizz.
  5. Thanks Dave. The stands and heart have slots that fit together. Cut carefully no glue would be needed. The rings are not solid. There is a space that fits into slots in the stands. Hope this helps explain.
  6. Thanks Paul.
  7. Thanks Gary. I have been making these for years.
  8. Thanks Paul.
  9. Thanks Jim.
  10. Thanks Les.
  11. Thanks Jim. That is the way the pattern suggested. Next time, I think I will glue the back before cutting out the outside and then cutting as you suggested.
  12. Thanks Ray. Tennessee "Home Sweet Home" could be just for you!
  13. Thanks RJ. TN is a great state. We love it here too.
  14. Welcome to the forum from TN
  15. I finished these Monday, October 28th. The pattern designer is unknown and I purchased from Scroller Online. I used 1/2" Poplar and backed with 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood stained black. It is approximately 3 1/2" x 13". I used FD UR #1 blades and finished with two coats spray Polyurethane Clear Satin. Comments welcome.
  16. I have now made over 40 of these. This is a custom request for a friend at Walmart. The pattern designer is unknown and the site is no longer available. I used 1/2" Walnut. It is approximately 6 1/2" high and 7" wide. I used FD UR #1 blades. The finish is two coats spray Polyurethane Clear Satin. Comments welcome.
  17. ArtCrafters is a distributor for Pegas. I purchased a scroll saw for demos, trials, and classes. As I set it up, I removed the hold down clamp just as most of us do. I noticed there is a blade clamp about 1 inch in front of the blade clamp. It made it hard for my fingers to install the blades, so I removed this blade guard. Rather easy, but I had to remove the table to get at the blade guard. Now on to scrolling.
  18. Mighty fine work. Nice clean cuts.
  19. Very well done, Dan. I think it looks great just the way it is.
  20. Yes, we are distributors for Pegas, but I have not had much time to give a good evaluation. My first saw was a DeWalt 788. I since purchased an EX21. Both are still in use and my go to saw is the EX21 with the Pegas clamp upgrade. As for service, you can't beat Ray at Seyco. He has been a great help several times. I don't know if this ramblings helps.
  21. Welcome to the forum from TN. Looks like you got a lot of good suggestions. I use Poplar for many projects purchased at a big box store.
