  1. Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I would add three new ones to this post. Not a lot of time on the scroll saw yesterday, but I did complete three. The first one is made from Mahogany and the next two from Cherry. I used FD UR #1 blades and finished with spray Polyurethane clear satin. Comments welcome.
  2. I end up sneezing working with cedar, so I always wear a mask.

  4. Thanks Dave
  5. Thanks Marg. I have not given them to the requester and she will use them as gifts
  6. Thanks Gordie. I thought the grain might be too pronounced, but the Ash looks good.

  12. Beautiful. Nice to include quilling into a scrolled project.
  13. Very well done. Nice clean cuts.
  14. Thanks Kevin. I've given up whacking weeds. This lady has two sons who are avid golfers.
  15. Thanks Les. I used the EX 21 with the head tilted 3 1/2 degrees to the right and cut clockwise. This works for me using 1/2" stock and FD UR #3 blades. I did several test cuts until I got the right set back. It is set back about 1/4".
  16. Thanks Dick. Sheila used green as the background in her example.
  17. These are a special request by a friend. The pattern is by Sheila Landry and purchased from her site. The wood is 1/2" Ash approximately 8" x 10" and backed with 1/8" Baltic Birch plywood stained with Samen Emerald. I used FD UR #1 and #3 blades cut on an EX 21. The finish is spray Lacquer Clear Semi Gloss. Comments welcome

  21. Very well done, especially for the first. I recommend keeping the first and hanging it in the shop so you can compare your progress as you continue in this fun hobby.
