    Ron, that is a work of art. Framing really sets it on the next level. I use black mat board as my backing, but of course I get them free.

    Welcome to the forum from TN. When I purchased my first saw, some sort of sanding was my next purchase. I use a Mac Mop attached to my drill press on almost every project.

    Thanks. I use Shellac 50% with denatured alcohol. This makes a thin solution that I dip projects into. It is quick drying and when dried, a light sanding with a Mac Mop.

    This is #3 of a series of 12. The patterns are by the late Dirk Boelman, and I purchased the set from Scroller Online, but they no longer list these. I used 1/4" Walnut scraps. It is approximately 5" high. I make these wile I wait for the glue to dry on other projects. I used FD UR #1 blades and finished with one coat sanding sealer and two coats spray Polyurethane Clear Gloss. Comments welcome.

    Correct. All seem to be made in the far east. "Made in Taiwan" seem to be better quality.

    Not sure if they are the same, but be sure it is not made in China. I heard major concerns.

    I agree with Kevin. In the store, a Shop Vac would be way too noisy. The first demo went smooth.

    No, there is no pickup on the top. With a little clean up, the dust on the top can be pushed through to the collector.

    Ray at Seyco included a three point plug adapter, so I plugged both the saw and vacuum into the foot switch.

    It is on the Seyco site under scroll saw accessories. A bit pricey at $180.

    I set up the Pegas scroll saw at ArtCrafters for test drives, demos, and lessons. Since this is an art gallery, we had to keep the dust to a minimum. I installed the Seyco Dust Collector on the Pegas saw. It was an easy install, but I used a couple of extra zip ties to hold the hoses. The vacuum is connected to the foot pedal, so that it will be on only when the saw is running. After some time, I will give an update.
