I bought a DeWalt 788 about 10 years ago and still have it and use it, especially for compound cutting. About three years ago I bought an Excalibur EX21. It is my go to saw for almost everything, especially angle cuts such as bowls.
Thanks Gordie. Our framing Acrylite is about three times the cost of glass, but a lot lighter. I have left over pieces, so no cost. If I ship there is no worry about glass breaking.
This pattern is by Jacob Fowler and found in the book "Woodworkers Pattern Book". He called it the 'Delicate Doe", but I renamed it the "Delicate Fawn" because we have a visit about once a week from a fawn just like this one. I enlarged the pattern by 40% to fit an 11" x 14" frame. I used 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood and FD UR #1 blades. The backing is black mat board. I framed it at ArtCrafters using Acrylic rather than glass. Comments welcome.
The pattern is by Sheila Landry and purchased from her website. I used 1/2" Aspen approximately 8" x 8" and FD UR #1 blades. This one took hours to cut. I didn't count the frets, but it mush be over 200. Comments welcome.
