  1. A very well done project.
  2. Teamwork on that project makes an outstanding project.
  3. Very well done, Jim. I am sure it will be well appreciated.
  4. Very well done, Jerry and I am sure well appreciated. A very touching story.
  5. Looks like the anniversary issue. I purchased one about three years ago.
  6. Welcome to the forum. Fun to have scrollers from all over the world. It amazes me what can be done with a hand fret saw.
  7. A beautiful bowl. Is that your design?
  8. A wonderful design, Kris and excellent cutting too.
  9. That is one of the fun things about the magazine. Seeing work of people we know getting published. I almost had my Turkey published in this issue until I had to explain that it wasn't my design.
  10. Welcome to the forum from TN. I started on a Hitachi and brought it back to Lowes within a week. Bought a DeWalt and still use it even though the EX21 is my go to saw.
  11. Thanks all for the nice comments.
  12. Welcome to the forum from TN. Looks like you got some good advise.
  13. Look at all that veining. Well done, Iggy.
  14. Thanks Al, not too bad, just slow and tedious.
  15. Thanks Bob. The next one may be a larger oval basket.
  16. All three are beautiful. Well done on the cutting.
  17. Very well done on this cutting.
  18. Thanks Frank. I don't time my cuttings, so I am not sure. My guess is about two hours.
  19. Wow, Melanie, you have been busy. The puzzles look great.
  20. Last week I finished Decorative Basket #5. This week it is #4. Not working backwards, just making the ones I like. The pattern set is by Jerry Crim and purchased from Scroller Online. I used 3/8" Hard Maple and FD UR #1 blades. The basket is approximately 8" round and 2 3/4" high. The finish is spray Shellac. A lot of turning the blank with this project. Comments welcome.
  21. Thanks Randy for the nice comments. It is nice to be 'friends' with the various authors and designers.
  22. I received mine yesterday and looked through it while listening to the Twins game. For me, this is the best issue yet. I project I will make first is the Wonder Bowl by Dave Van Ess. He introduced a new concept where there is no drilling and very little sanding. The intarsia Pheasant by Kathy Wise introduces using wood burning to enhance the project.
  23. Thanks all for the nice comments.
  24. Thanks Dave. I used a tooth pick to carefully apply the glue, so no squeeze out.
  25. Thanks Paul and Steve. A rather easy pattern to cut.
