As for Pegas MGT blades, the notch is not for direction of the blade. It is a function of the manufacturing process.

I have a granddaughter who went through the same thing (jerk of a father). So, I have 3 great grandsons. Looks like toys are in the plans.

It the wood is 1/8", I stack cut two. If 1/4", I cut one.

As a Custom Picture Framer, I have access to over 300 colors of mat board, but black usually wins.

I also look at the project and fit the wood to the project. I use mostly domestic woods. Back when I did intarsia, I had a lot of exotic woods.

I buy most of my wood from Ocooch Hardwoods.

I use Pegas #6 Super Skip blades. About the same tpi as Pegas MGT blades without the reverse teeth.

I used to buy the tokens from Steve Good, but he is not responding. I saw somewhere that several are using branding irons. Any suggested manufacturer and comments?

On patterns larger than my scanner can handle, I put a pencil line down half the pattern, print both pieces and attach to the wood using the line as a guide. -
