    Cardinal Puzzle designed by Sarah Lyn Chamberlain, found in the new issue #89 of Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts. I used 1/2" Hard Maple and cut on the EX21 (at home) using FD UR #3 blade. Stained with Samam Stain and dipped in Shellac diluted with denatured alcohol. Sanding with a Mac Mop between coats. Fun to have artists in studio to add the twigs before shrink wrapping.

    Blade slippage is usually a function of the set screw and or thumb screw with swivel. Check to see if the swivel is functioning correctly.

    A custom project finished yesterday. I had design help from Don in Brooklin On. The overlay is 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood and backed with 3/8" Baltic Birch plywood stained black. It is 4" x 16". Cut on the Pegas scroll saw using Pegas #1R MGT blades. The finish is two coats Minwax spray Lacquer Clear Satin with sanding between coats. Comments welcome.

    Thanks, Bruce. I did not know either, but he came in with a PDF with a lot of detail. Wayne Mahler did a great job of turning it into a pattern.

    This is a Sue Mey pattern modified with an Air Traffic Control Badge. A custom order and Wayne Mahler designed the overlay. Thanks Wayne. The wood used is 1/2" Ash for the Dream Catcher, Red Oak for the overlay and 1 4" Walnut and Hard Maple for the feathers. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #3R MGT blades for everything except the feathers. For those I used Pegas #0 Spiral blades. I sell the Pegas blades at: artcraftersonline.com
