  1. Don’t we all. Well, at least some of us - me included.
  2. @amazingkevin Kevin, so good to see you pop in and show some work. Great tip on those dollar tree wood items. Never thought about it. Nice work.
  3. Nice work Charlie. Definitely a classic.
  4. Those look great. Thanks for showing.
  5. Welcome to the Village from East Tennessee. Look forward to your participation.
  6. Definitely beautiful and insane! Glad you were the one cutting it.
  7. Nice job and sure to please the neighbor. Sorry to hear of your need for surgery. Prayers form you and the surgical staff. Let us know how you are doing when you feel up to it.
  8. Beautiful piece your granddaughter will love. You are the second “Grumps” I have ever heard of. My sister and her husband had their first grandchild a few years back, when trying to decide what “name” they wanted, his secretary I gather suggested “Grumps” and that is what they went with.
  9. Beautiful pieces Paul. We have several different nativities displayed that we have obtained over the years. I have at least one simple one from Steve Good I cut and a layered one from the magazine. While I love the look of the filigree - I run from all those holes to drill and the cutting of them. I agree with you on the solid back - I think it helps the figures poppet much more the way you have it.
  10. You are correct about Judy's shop. Amazing work throughout from years of working and doing Intarsia and patterns. I only live about 30-40 minutes away from her and have been fortunate to be able to go and take her classes - that is actually when I started - I took her beginner class to learn. You are right, segmentation is a good way to start to learn about cutting the pieces and shaping.
  11. Looks great as usual Denny and not surprised that your customer was pleased. One of these days, I’m going to actually get around to cutting that pattern out. Hopefully I do half as nice as yours.
  12. Excellent work, and sure to be treasured for years to come. My mother did us cross stitch ornaments every year. I love hanging them on the tree. She spent her lunch breaks at work working on them as well as in the evenings after work. Kept her busy, especially as the grands kept coming. The past couple of years since I started woodworking, I have been giving my kids and nieces and nephews ornaments I have cut. I hope they too will treasure for years after I am gone. No grands yet though of my own, but a grand niece and nephew who are both two. I do agree with Jack, would make cute earrings as well.
  13. Nice work. I have one I cut as one piece and then hand carved. Was going to paint, haven’t gotten there yet so was waiting to post. was thinking of cutting one with segmentation as Steve designed or as true Intarsia. So many ideas, so little time. Hopefully mine look as cute as yours and Barb’s if I ever get there. Marg - here is direct link to the pattern. https://www.stevedgood.com/snowmanseg.pdf
  14. Busy . Lots of good work done there.
  15. Cute idea. We like Little Debbie’s around here too. Don’t forget they aren’t real though.
  16. @kmmcrafts ran across this pattern on a carving site - might be of some help for you. https://ezcarving.com/free-patterns/cogsworth/

  21. Nice work. I’m sure she loved it. Hopefully it will last and last.
  22. Nice work. You have been busy. Glad to hear. You bare enjoying getting some time back on the saw. Compound cuts are fun and love seeing the end result pop out.
  23. Excellent work Dick. I’m sorry to hear you have not been feeling well. I hope you were able to get the last projects done and shipped out. Prayers said for your health.
  24. Beautiful piece that is even more special by its history. I know your wife loves it and the time and effort you put in to making this special piece.
