  1. Another Tennessee welcome to the Village. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out Steve Good’s blog posts. He posts a free scrolling pattern almost every day. He has lots of good information for scrollers of all levels but especially beginners so be sure to look back through his older posts. https://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com
  2. I love cherry wood. You did this piece proud.
  3. Nice craftsmanship. Should appeal to any nature lover.
  4. Just beautiful and a great mix of media. If it doesn’t win a blue ribbon, I want to see what beats it.

You will have some happy friends. Great job.
  6. Welcome from East Tennessee. I’m a scroller who has been learning to carve. I think both can enhance the work of the other in different ways.
  7. Nice work. The spoons and the clock look great. Look forward to seeing what you do with the last 4 clock inserts.
  8. Another work of art you have crafted Dave The recipient is going to be in awe and the giver will have earned major brownie points.
  9. Beautiful and definitely needed patience and a steady hand. Looks great in Mahogany.
  10. Love the Village. you can go to “Support SSV” from the area that shows your user name- on my IPad, it’s in the top right corner. Then select option to become a supporting Patron from 3 different levels, Supporter, Silver, or Gold. This shows “benefits” of each level or, if you wish to make a small donation once, or from time to time you can go to the “Donation” and make a donation over and above or instead of the Supporter levels. It is processed through PayPal.
  11. Good to see you back. I hadn’t seen that second one. I like them both.
  12. You have indeed become addicted to those birdhouses. Nice work on them.
  13. Should have a happy SIL. nice work.
  14. I have rabbits in my yard/area. You did nice work on this Paul.
  15. Nice layered piece.
  16. Beautiful piece.
  17. Beautiful piece Dick. One day, when I get some time again to do some hobby work, I hope to give something like this a try. I appreciate all the info you have shared here and elsewhere on your technique.
  18. I think it looks great and I am sure your friend will love it and the sentiment. This on is on my to do list someday.
  19. I agree with everyone, outstanding, amazing, beautiful, detail cutting. I wish I had the patience but I know I don’t. I’ll just admire the detail work of those of you that do.
  20. What a beautiful trivet Denny.
  21. Only Wednesday would do of course. Noce work as always Charlie. Did you cut two and give one to your daughter?
  22. Nice work. Glad you got to stop by and visit with Denny. I had the pleasure to do so, been a few years unfortunately and hard to believe. He and his wife were wonderful.
  23. Welcome from East Tennessee. Look forward to your participation.
  24. Ray, I checked. I have two of Carole’s books. One is wooden boxes and the other is “Wooden Bowls from the Scroll Saw.” Unfortunately, it does not appear that it contains that specific segmented bowl you have pictured. It does have some bowls similar in curved shapes like this one, but not the open segments like the one in your picture. However, I do think the article that Don provided the link to from Woodworker’s Journal provides the information for doing it as a “simulated” open segment, scroll down towards the bottom of the article for that specific info.
  25. Ray, Carol sometimes participates on the SSWC magazine’s forum which I believe is what was being referred to above. It can be found here: https://forum.scrollsawer.com I have some of her books, I will check a little later to see if I have the one with that bowl in it. I have to go out on some errands first.
