  1. Beautiful box she will treasure. Belated. Birthday wishes to her. My son share’s the same birthday. He was 28.
  2. I’m sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. Prayers for his family. Thanks for letting us know.
  3. Beautiful piece. I lost my 11 year old golden earlier this year. Best dog I ever had. Miss her everyday.
  4. Belated wishes to you a Ray and all our friends here in the Village. May each of you have a blessed and Happy New Year.
  5. Belated wishes to you and yours Marge. May you have a happy and blessed New Year.
  6. Well, your ahead of me Paul! Nice work. Excellent tip on removing just the pattern off the tree to get it stained. I'll have to remember that should I ever do something similar!. I'm getting closer to getting a project or two started.
  7. Issue 97, Winter 2024 literally just came out and with Barb in Canada, she may not have her’s yet (I got mine end of last week). The issue with Janette Square’s intarsia pattern of the mouse on the leaf was in the prior one, Issue 96, Fall 2024 on page 55. The article is entitled “Riding the Wind.” Barb, you did excellent work on all your projects. I have finally got my saws accessible and I will have to try some pieces soon. Intarsia may have to wait a bit though until I get my skill set back up to speed.
  8. Nice work Frank. I can see the sentiment to your work. Your planned companion poem and piece will be the perfect piece with both commemorating the family island.
  9. Frank, first, glad to hear that you all had little to minimal impact from the recent hurricanes. Second, a cute turtle that the young boy is going to enjoy
  10. Thanks for checking Kevin and letting us know. Prayers for his family during the loss of Jim.
  11. Lots of beautiful work there Pete. Good luck with your shows.
  12. @Denny Knappen any experience or knowledge on these blades?
  13. Dave, I wanted to say I’m sorry to hear of your loss of your wife in April from Alzheimer’s. I know a bit of the battle you had as my mom suffered from that same horrible disease. When she passed, 8 years ago now, is when I found solace in the scrollsaw. I’m sorry you had your issues compounded by having your own health issue with a tumor in your head. I pray that you are recovering well and can find some joy in using your saw. Bob, glad to hear you were able to get help from Denny in getting your Pegas saw ordered. Let us know how you like it when it arrives.
  14. Charlie, I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful sister at a young age. My condolences and prayers for all who are impacted by the loss. It sounds like you all had a great relationship and lots of wonderful memories together. That is something to find great joy in. You made a beautiful tribute and the portrait of her is excellent as well.
  15. Nice work Kevin, good to see you post again so we know your doing ok.
  16. Welcome. Nice piece. My husband's great grandfather was a blacksmith. We still have a few things from his shop including a ledger where he kept track of the work he did along with a bench.
  17. Kevin, Len is still around. He just apparently doesn't visit the village. He does communicate on "The Scrollers Cafe" Forum. I saw a post/reply over there from him just yesterday. He has been through several issues with his health but is still plugging along based on what he has said recently on that Forum.
  18. Beautiful pieces Frank. I admire your patience and skill in cutting such intricate detail. Your air brush painting continues to enhance your projects.
  19. Congratulations on your move. Sorry it entails putting your saw up for now. I feel your pain, we started packing up last year about this time to move, building a large workshop at new place. Weather has not cooperated. Finally under roof. Not sure I will remember how to use any of the equipment by the time it’s all done.
  20. Beautiful piece that I’m sure your daughter loves and will always treasue.
  21. Another Tennessee welcome. Glad you joined us.
  22. Carole also participates on the Scroll Saw magazine’s forum and will answer questions there too. https://forum.scrollsawer.com
  23. A beautiful box Dave. While I know my skill set is far from yours, I may want to try sometime in the somewhat distant future (my hubby would be able to help me with it). Problem is right now, we are down a shop with all the tools packed away while we await building our new shop building. The winter rains here in East TN have been horrible ever since we got our building permit the first of the year. so for now, I hope to enjoy seeing others take on this challenge and admire everyone else’s work.
