Nice work Charlie. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that entire movie. Bits and pieces over the years, but never the entire movie. Maybe one day.
-
Thank you.
-
Nice work. I should put up the dust experiment sign.
-
Beautiful piece. I cringe at having to do that lettering.

So out of curiosity Scott, how many multiples do you carry of the 47 that you actually display? I'm assuming that you are carrying multiples of the more popular breeds and its that for all 47 that you display you carry multiples? Or just a few really "hotly" sold ones?

Lovely work Marge. Good to. Hear you are teaching a young new scroller.
-
Charlie, all you work on the portraits you are doing is great. You clearly have much more patience then me. I don’t see me doing any portraits. But I enjoy seeing yours. What a great compliment too when Jim Blume asks for a copy.
-
Nice work. I don’t know what it is about gnomes that makes so many of us love them, but I just know they are cute!
-
A beautiful box and great story. Sure to be treasured by all. I always enjoy seeing your next masterpiece.
-
Brenda, glad to see things are going better for you and your family and that you felt up to get back to the saw and visiting us here in the Village. You were missed. I look forward to seeing the finished piece. I too prefer red lines.

@john nelson glad @barb.j.enders was able to give you the information that you needed to add your photos You are doing a good job and got your instructions up. I will have to take some time to review. Perhaps @Travis can take your photos and written instructions and put them together into the Tutorials subsections so they aren’t lost over here in the Easter challenge. that last pull dog toy reminds me of one of my favorite pull toys I had when I was very little. I named him snoopy. It was I believe indeed a wooden Fisher Price toy in the 60s.

Nice collection, good luck on your sales.

@john nelson there are different subsections to the forum here. One is specifically for uploading and sharing patterns for others to use. you could place any patterns you wished to share there. It is the “Pattern Library” and it can be found here: https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/gallery/category/2-pattern-library/ There is another subsection for “Works in Progress” and “Tutorials”. It can be found here: https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/forum/31-works-in-progress-tutorials/ This would be a great place for you to put up your “coloring process” if you wanted to write it up and share for others to learn from. I know most everyone here is always willing to learn something new and interesting related to our hobby of scrolling. I know I would be interested in reading and learning about your process. if you need help with posting or sharing information in any of the forums or the pattern library, just let us know and many would probably be able to help you out with doing so.

Beautiful pieces and it’s clear why you would have come home with all that cash in your pocket. Congratulations on a good afternoon.

Hi John, there isn’t necessarily a monthly challenge. Travis does them ATT different times I think as “the mood hits” often around a holiday. I guess for May, you could do something for Mother’s Day (USA is May 8 th this year so not much time on that one. ) or something for Memorial Day which is end of May or maybe a “Summer Challenge” so things to entertain kids in the Summer. I’ll tag @Travisand see if he’s got a challenge up his sleeve. I’m not sure what you mean on the “subscribe.” You can help support the forum by becoming a “patron”. There are three different levels of patron support to choose from. You get different benefits depending on the level you choose. You can do that here: https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/subscriptions/

A free pattern ? for the group and Frank EV. in particular.
meflick replied to Rolf's topic in General Scroll Sawing
The common courtesy that I try to follow is to share a direct link to where a pattern can be found if I can. If I can’t find the direct link, I would try to give a link back as best I can so here to the Village in general if I knew that was where I had found it. So, For example, if it’s a JGR pattern (or another one I had purchased somewhere), I would share the direct link to the pattern so it can be purchased. If I couldn’t give the direct link, I would give the link to her home page. I would do the same even when the pattern has been shared for free somewhere. For example, if it’s a Steve Good pattern, I would first try to find the original blog post where he shared the pattern and provide the direct link back to it. If I couldn’t easily find it, I would provide a link back to his home page of his blog. in this instance, I would do as you did, say where I had gotten the original pattern from, the Scrollsaw Village website, and then provide a direct link back to where it can be found here. (I signed out and checked and you would need to be a member and signed in to access patterns shared it looks like so they would need to join to be able to see and download.) So, for the pattern in question here, I would post a link back to it here and note you would need to be a member or join in order to see and download from here: https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/44200-two-heads-and-entwined-bodies-pdfs/ However, since in this instance, I also happen to know that Frankorona actually first made and shared the original Image that FrankEV used to made the pattern from, I would also share that note with the link to the pattern thread indicating such so he was acknowledged as the source for the image and photo Frank used to make the pattern from (as Frank noted when he first shared his own photos of the piece he cut here): https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/44162-two-heads/#comment-475942 And this next thread is where Frankorona first shared his images the month prior (noting he used photo from the internet, so not his original image either ) and from which Frank made the pattern from (because Frankorona didn’t have an actual pattern to share, just his photo but gave Frank permission to create the pattern.) https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/44050-modernist-figures/#comment-474724 In this instance, sharing those three links may seem excessive to some, but to me, it’s all needed to give proper credit to Frankorona for first sharing his photo of his work, then giving Frank permission to use his photo to create his own version and to then share the pattern Frank created with members of the village. I feel it is important to give proper credit so in this particular instance, that credit would be to both Frankorona and then Frank. Normally, it would not be quite so “complicated” however. The only time I might “share” directly would be if someone had given specific permission to post and share elsewhere on the pattern it’s self. (I have seen this done). However, even then I would still attempt to give a link back if I could. Since the patterns shared here are shared by members for members of the village, in my humble opinion, I would not post one I downloaded from here somewhere else or pass it on to someone but would point them back to where they could find it just as I would if it was a pattern I had purchased. -
Great work all around. I've done a couple of projects in the past using epoxy but nothing big. I love those boards, the idea of one is in the "to try one day" pile (it grows more than anything. )
-
Nice work Barb and sounds like you have a longtime client there. I guess she'll keep you busy as long as her family and friends keep having kids! I was wondering, what font did you use?
-
What a beautiful box that any mother would love. Nice work.

He posted a new pattern (Celtic Cross) to the Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts magazine’s forum about 5 hours ago. Didn’t say anything other then post it, so it seems for now he is okay and still crafting some. https://forum.scrollsawer.com/forum/scroll-saw/bowls-boxes-compound-and-other-3-d-projects/878680-celtic-cross-collection#post878682 edited to add: I see he posted the same new pattern here in the Village’s “Bragging Rights” section about the same time looks like.

That looks nice Frank and not surprised your wife loved it. Now, as I also recall, you said you had those tissue boxes all over the house. So I think you have more opportunities to perfect your methods.
-
A welcome to you from East Tennessee. Lots of folks here always willing to offer advise. Many also always looking for bargains. You will fit in well. Look forward to seeing what you do with that older saw.
-
Hi Tony and welcome to the village from across the pond in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee. Never to late to start to learn the saw. Feel free to ask questions and show your work, everyone here is always happy to help, and loves to see pictures.

I think they ran the reruns back to back for after school “babysitting”. We watched them both - plus the original Batman and Robin show with the cartoon “Pow” and “wow” (I had a brother who always wanted to watch that. I also remember liking to watch a show that I think was called “Dark Shadows”. It was sorta like a soap opera style show about a vampire(s) as I recall. Barnabas was the vampire guy’s name.

Nothing much beats a hot out of the oven chocolate chip cookie. Nice idea and work.
