  1. Nice work Ray. Looks great. Display it proudly. Thanks for showing it off.
  2. Ditto - what I was going to say and ask. If you could point us to where to find the butterfly pattern if possible that would be great. I would like to make for my siblings for Christmas gifts. Our mother died last year and she loved Butterflies so we tend to think of her when we see butterflies now. This would make a wonderful gift for them. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Sorry Paul, I did see where you had asked Travis to move it, but I didn't see where it showed it had been moved (usually it shows it was moved I thought). I suspect the weekend has been keeping many folks away - especially if they have had good weather like we have had (well, if you consider sunshine and 90 degrees "good" - I personally would prefer a little cooler. )
  4. Welcome Home. Glad to have you back. Nice work.
  5. Excellent crafting by Sasho in creating the pattern, and by you in the cutting. Way beyond my skills and definitely patience level I believe. However, I know many people who would love it. Should sell well for you. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Nice work Frank. They look great and the recipients are going to love them. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Ditto!
  8. No complaints about bad weather when it lets you get in the shop and craft such nice looking pieces Pete. Your friends are going to love their piece. Everything looks great. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Paul, it is in the "Introductions" forum, and that may be why she is not getting as much response in regards to the saw its self. Not everybody looks at the subforms regularly. I think that it has to do with the weekend too maybe. Sabrina, I just wanted to welcome you to the village. I cannot help you on the Hawk saw as I too have never had one. Perhaps if you ask in the "General" forum, you will get more response from those who have Hawks but it looks like rdv464 and Fish have probably given you some of the best information on what to do to find out more info. I know that many consider the Hawk line of saws to be great saws. Good luck. I look forward to your participation here in the Village.
  10. Very nice. Good to know the Force is with you. Thanks for showing.
  11. Nice work Kevin. Thanks for sharing. How’s the tidying up the place going?
  12. Welcome to the Village from East Tennessee. Look forward to your participation. Nice looking pattern and project. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Well, it may depend upon what type of work that you do. For example, since i do Intarsia, it is not uncommon to use pretty small pieces so i tend to not want to throw them away. i have gotten a little better, if its fairly common wood, I will ditch the smaller pieces. I have a 5 gallon bucket that sits next to the saw area. I toss in there. We then use it in the fire pit we have. I took one of my kids old toy bins and use it for the smaller scrap pieces that I save.
  14. Happy Father's Day and enjoy. I love using my magnification light. Much easier to see.
  15. I agree, she is going to love it. It is a great piece. Thanks for sharing.
  16. Nice job Duke. I really hate to be the bearer of bad news however, but I believe it should be "A-n-g-e-l-s" not "A-n-g-l-e-s" - Angels not Angles. I hate when that happens to me.
  17. I too really liked that pattern when Steve posted it. It is in my "someday" to try pile I am sure. You did a masterful job in crafting your version of it. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Nice work. I really like that avengers trivet. I hate lettering, but even I might be able to do that one without too much trouble. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Excellent work Les. Glad several were able to help you out and you had a couple to choose from. From that list of pattern makers, I am sure you had several excellent ones. As far as marrying up, I am sure your wife is very happy with her choice. As far as your daughters, you better get to cutting their copies. You know they are going to want one.
  20. Nice work. Your uncle is going to love it. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Hi Rick. Welcome to the Village. If you got your scrollsaw to make puzzles for your granddaughter, you need to check in with @Iguanadon - (that’s his screen name, but we call him Iggy or Scott or sometimes the puzzle master .) he too started out making puzzles for s grandchild I believe. Ow he is mass producing them and selling them. He has a website where you can see his work, and buy the puzzle patterns, he works with Harvey Bylar who creates the patterns. This is link to his website: https://woodcraftbyscott.com/ I will let others who are more knowledgeable then me answer your tool questions.
  22. Welcome to the Village. Look forward to your participation.
  23. Looks great Dick. I think you are doing fantastic on your patterns.
  24. Hello and welcome to the Village. Looks like Spirithorse answered your question on vibration. Look forward to your participation.
  25. Sounds like a good weekend of sales at the Farmers Market to start. Will be interested to see how you do without the kids' puzzles. Always good to try different things. You could always set up one or two with a note to inquire about more perhaps.
