  1. Great cutting Kevin. But then you always do that!
  2. WOW! You did a terrific job.
  3. I love it. A really great pattern!
  4. Glad to see you back. Here's hoping for a complete recovery!
  5. Can I presume you drilled through holes? Would not ever have thought of pop rivets. Good thinking out of the box.
  6. Great cutting! I've cut the walleye but not the crappie. I need to get started on it.
  7. That turned out beautiful.
  8. You've done an outstanding job!
  9. That is a beautiful piece of work!
  10. Thanks. That is a clever idea I WILL STEAL! Perhaps BORROW is a better word.
  11. I use clock winding keys. That's because I've been repairing clocks for over 40 years. If you the videos on the Hegner web site they show using clock keys also. I use a #14 key. However different key makers #14 are not always the same. One should find a key at most any clock shop. Just take your blade holder along to be sure it fits.
  12. These magnets are epoxied in. They go nowhere. However, I just tilt down for instant release. I use them in many places.
  13. I'm in the process of making six more. They are fun and get a laugh!
  14. Looks interesting but what are you talking about? What does it do?
  15. That is very nice. Also very nice for you to do!
  16. Hello Kelly, welcome to the Village. You've posted some really nice things.
  17. OOOOOPS, I hit quote rather than edit. DUH
  18. It is held in place with 1/2" rare earth magnets in the wooden bracket. Slide it to the side and I'm good to go. There is a blade guard that gets in the way. I remove it on both saws. Also the long knob or,bolt that locks the tilt is replaced with a hex bolt on both saws. For the hold-down I'll make a swing away blower with loc-line.
  19. OKAY Ray, since you brought it up here are homely mods to m y 14 inch. They are crude but for now they work. Don't understand why Hegner wants to blow sawdust up my nose. Good thing they lost the war. If Hegner had built the Panzer they might have kicked our butts. Dust collector is just a canning funnel. Fits perfectly.
  20. I'm glad for you!
  21. Question is not silly. DUH! That was exactly my problem. Thank you. Signed, Dumkopf
  22. It is Krylon gloss enamel.
  23. I am painting a project cut from 1/2" Poplar. I am painting it white with Krylon gloss wanting a shiny finish. I give a very light spray and sand lightly with 220 grit. I apply another coat and again sand. After supplying a third coat I still do not get a gloss finish. The paint also appears to be translucent and needs more light coats. Can someone enlighten me how to do it properly?
  24. I don't sign anything. I don't sell and I don't have enough enemies to give the stuff to. But you have done that beautifully. Nice project and nice signature!
