  1. Very, very clever. I like them.
  2. Dick, you are very kind and a gentleman but I am no genius. I have, however, always worked on mechanical things. Yes, the holders I made for my 216VS worked beautifully. I'm putting that saw on craigs list this weekend. The saw I am using now is a 220VS Ultra Hawk which uses the newer rectangular clamp. I have to sell the smaller saw so I have access to my table saw and larger band saw.
  3. Greater tooth count or a skip blade to get rid of the sawdust.
  4. Nice thing about Colorado, nearly everyone has a basement. My clock shop and machine tools are in the basement and my wood working tools are in my shop in the garage. Fortunately my garage shop has AC. The weather is such that I seldom need it. Comfortable winter and summer. I retired in 2001 and since then I have repaired clocks full time and still do although I have cut back considerably this year. I have repaired for over 40 years. Extra income is nice but I need more time for scrolling.
  5. I cut this pattern from Steve Good from 1/2" oak with a FD #5 Ultra Reverse blade.

  14. Very classy for sure.
  15. When I purchased my 220VS Ultra Hawk it came with one lower blade clamp. I had ordered two more but had not used them. My tension was set for the old clamp. While experimenting with other blades I used a new clamp. I attached the upper clamp to the blade and flipped the tension lever. BANG! The blade ripped out of the upper clamp. It happened again on the second try so I re adjusted the tension and it was OK. Later I went back to the old clamp and the tension was way too loose. It made no sense. I compared the holders and found the original holder was not drilled deep enough. The new ones were drilled down to the roll pin, the old one was not. I re-drilled the old one now they all work the same.
  16. Thanks for posting Kevin. Always look forward to seeing your work.
