  1. I understand about depression very well. I've lived with it for many years, not mine but my wife's. Depression can destroy a person making one feel absolutely unworthy and useless. Not something to trifle with. I'm so glad you are getting free from it!
  2. Very nice Kevin!
  3. That's beautiful Ed! Great job.
  4. Metal is nice, wood is beautiful.
  5. Would also be nice to have Hawk and Hegner with a seat at the table. Surprised they do not participate. Perhaps Hegner sees no need and Hawk is covering their butts.
  6. That looks very nice. I also like to occasionally like a break from cutting detailed work. Gives the eyes a rest.
  7. Hi Angelo and welcome to the Village. Yes, you can get lots of help here. Is your saw the problem perhaps? Let us know what saw you are using. There has to be help for you here!
  8. I've thought about that. Depends on cost.
  9. Cute. Looks great.
  10. Wow! Really dynamic. Love them.
  11. Well, the bomb dropped. Turned on the drill and the motor smoked. A friend works for a metal salvage yard. He has a used replacement for $30. Could be worse.
  12. You did a great job on that!
  13. Those are so cool! Scroll saw, band saw or both? Really nicely made!
  14. Gorgeous as always. Well done!
  15. The last photo, holy smokes!
  16. Super, super cutting. Nice work!
  17. Tried it today. Not gonna work for me. My dust collector recepticle is in the way. It's kept there with a magnet but still one more additional step.
  18. Stunning work! Did you cut with a backer?
  19. Very nice cutting and assembly. Alas I shall not make one. I have divested myself of nearly every magazine and book I've collected over 50 years. That includes my scroll saw magazines. I do have a book on mechanical gadgets and a book on scroll saw clocks. Time has come. My wife would have no idea what do with it all. Actually quite a relief.
  20. Glad for the repost. I had forgotten about it. I'll try it tomorrow.
  21. For extremely small number bits like 68 and 72 work atheir optimum with speeds like 20K and up. My go to bit is #68 ans I use a drill presswhich is not near fast enough so I just let the bit plow through and let the backer bear the brunt. The bit burnt black but still makes the hole. Those little bits are pricey and on the Dremel they are a pita to change without removing is from the router attachment. I guess I'm lazy so I take the easiest road.
  22. I have not done a lot of stack cutting but unless you are using quality BB tear out can be expected because the outside veneers are so very thin on ordinary plywood. I use a sacrificial piece of 3/16" luan underlayment.
